Profile not switching or used

Aside from the profile not automatically switching, even manually setting the profile as default results in it not working in the game. It keep using the default one.
Anybody else experiencing this?

 

Problems started appearing after following instructions to uninstall Synapse in regards to another issue. 

Double checked settings. Even did the trick of installing Chroma app to disable the apps.

So after losing 4 hours on my free day I solved this (for now).

I did a manual clean up, which resulting in the profile(s) to work again. 

  1. Manual Cleanup: I started by manually removing all Razer-related files and folders from my system, including:

    • C:\ProgramData\Razer

    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer

    • C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Razer

    • C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\Razer

  2. Registry Cleanup: After backing up my registry, I removed entries related to Razer from the following paths (please be very careful with registry edits and ensure you have a full backup before making any changes):

    • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Razer

    • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Razer

    • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

 

It is super annoying that with each update you guys release something breaks or acts up. And we're stuck with finding a solution losing precious time.

The Neeewwww Razer Synapse 4 has the same problem, also only spectrum cycling works.

I am beside myself spent hours on phone with these people and it gets elevated and still no solution.  Same issue will not auto switch to game and go back to desktop settings.  Anyone who knows how to fix please advise???

Don’t do upgrade from Synapse 3.

Thak you, Razer has been good with responses to me, I will try what they suggested first and if that fails will try Synapse 3.  Will Synapse 3 work with the keyboard i have purchased? Deathstalker V2 pro tkl?

had the same problem… i think it s a sync problem (cloud data ↔ local data)

i disabled Windows Defender. synapse synced and now it’s working perfectly. afterwards you can enabled Defender again

you have to repeat this after each change in synapse.

When I was using Synapse 4, it rarely selected the program that I was using. 

 

The only solution I had was to upgrade to Synapse 3, sorry “downgrade”!  Now, I do not have as many issues.  Generally, Synapse 3 knows which program you are using, even if you have 3 or 4 open.

 

I also had the sync problem, which could not be solved.  The Beta version had less bugs than the released version!

 

Reinstalling each time should not be a solution, that is poor and sloppy programing.

Same issue on desktop for months.  Got a new laptop worked for a few weeks, now same problem.  HOW IS THIS NOT WORKING!!!!  switching profiles per game is a 1996 feature.  The solution can’t be to reinstall the software on two machines evetime I add a new game.  Back to Logitech on my next upgrade for mouse I guess.

 Especially when dealing with razers awful awful awful software. Will remember to not buy their products unless I must

I am done trying to fix.  Just anyone want a mouse, keyboard, mouse pad for free let me know.  

Moving back to Logitech.

In this case, you can use the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) to return to the application. It only works a couple of times, but before cleaning the registry as suggested above, check synchronization; it's often the problem. In Synapse 3, the synchronization window would appear immediately. Yes, it would sometimes lag and not always appear immediately, but in Synapse 4, I noticed that the synchronization window might not appear. True, I have three monitors with a ton of open windows. But I will say that Synapse 4 is more stable than Synapse 3. IMHO
