Synapse 4 Devices Not Detected on Startup

Hello,

There seems to be an issue with Synapse 4.

After rebooting the PC, the Synapse tray icon shows that no devices are connected.
However, once I manually launch Synapse, the devices appear in the tray and everything syncs properly.

I've already tried a clean installation.
Even after formatting the PC, the same issue persists.

What could be causing this to suddenly happen?

I have exactly the same issue and behavior and it started after an update that was installed yesterday. I came here to see if someone else reports this or if it’s maybe my computer.

I can either launch Synapse or replug mouse/keyboard to temporarily solve it, but after the next reboot the problem reappears.

So it’s on their side to fix this or deploy a solution.

Hey guys, hope you're doing well,

We have to opening a ticket about that joining some link (Reddit, Razer insider) to let them know we are not alone and like that they will put in priority to fix it

It seems like I’m not the only one experiencing this issue, so there might be a problem with the latest update.

I’ve contacted Razer Support via email, so I guess I’ll have to wait for their response.

I thought my Tartarus Pro was damaged after:

  1. repairing Synapse 4
  2. switching USB ports
  3. Un installing and reinstalling synapse 4
  4. Uninstalling the Tartarus Pro drivers from the device manager
  5. Purchasing a new Tartarus Pro and having the same issue.

With the Tartarus Pro, the device mostly works BUT not al the customization works in all the buttons.  In my case, I use the thumb stick to bind keyboard keys for some names.  Since this issue, it only works as a directional pad and I cannot load anything on the thumb stick at all.

I called today and opened a ticket, decided to jump here to see if anyone else was having issues.

Tartarus Pro Firmware: 1.2.0.0

Windows 11 pro 24H2 build 26100.447

I am currently exchanging emails with Razer Support, but it feels like I’m only receiving very generic, template-like responses (such as “send logs” or “reinstall the software”).

Even though I’ve posted on the Insider forums and mentioned that many other users are experiencing the exact same issue, they don’t seem to have any intention of checking or testing it on their end.

This is starting to piss me off I don’t get why this app keeps having one problem to another. One gets fixed and another arises

There's nothing we can do here. Either Razer kindly releases an update and fixes what they've broken, or we'll continue to be screwed.

Yes, exactly the same issue usung a Razer Chroma keyboard.

Same issue: 7 devices currently connected (Blackshark V2 Pro with Base Station V2, Huntsman Elite, Tartarus Pro, Naga Pro and Mouse Dock, Seiren V2 X) but none of them are detected in Synapse.

Got back from vacation yesterday and all was working fine, but then Synapse updated and today it’s all broken. I put a lot on my profiles for each game, to the point where I’d have to re-learn the games without them. The following week of my holiday was planned for heavy gaming, so I’m hoping the fix will come soon.

Don’t fail me (again) Razer. I’ve been a loyal fan for over a decade but it’s been getting more and more frustrating lately.

Same problem. Is there a way to get the old software version and block updates? The new version doesn't detect mouse, keyboard, base station, tartarus or headphones.

Yip exact same issue immediately after the update. Have to just say that it amazes that for a company that can create such hardware they absolutely just cannot do software.

I might have found a workaround for this, at least this worked for me (Windows 10)

  1. Go to programs and features in Windows
  2. Find Razer Synapse and click “Modify” (Might be some other word, I’m not using english version of Windows)
  3. Click “Repair” on Razer Synapse

After this, Synapse restarted and my devices are working now.

I already tried that twice and a system restore. No luck.

Sorry to hear that :/

I tried a couple different things to no avail, so decided to share asap when something finally worked for me. Hopefully it will help someone.

I have exact same problem like you all. Only one (temporary) solution for now: In Synapse settings - auto launch don’t check “minimize to system tray on start up”. It start Synapse after rebooting in full window, you close it manualy.

same problem.

It sounds like we could be stuck with broken software for a very long time then.
