Question

Synapse 4 is stuck recognizing my mouse

Wireline1

After a fresh Synapse 4 install both my Naga Trinity and Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed are seemingly stuck “Detecting Device...” There is another thread about this but it was locked after the first response so if they found a fix it’s in private messages… That being said, both my headset and keyboard are being detected just fine. My mice drivers are up to date and my Synapse is version 4.0.86.2411140357. Synapse 3 also had no problems detecting either mouse.

I should have said they also don’t show up under devices and switching USB ports doesn’t help.

As in, uninstall Synapse 4, install Synapse 3, and there should be some tool that upgrades it to Synapse 4?

Not a tool, just an upgrade. I had the same issue before and upgrading from V3 helped.

I also face the same issue. Looks like Synapse 4 have bug that razer havent fix the issue with barracuda headset.

Until they fix , install synapse 3 and pair your headset. it will work.

Having the same issue with my Nommo V2 Pro speakers. Synapse 3 worked fine, but I upgraded to 4, and it’s stuck on detecting device.. AND on Synapse 4, THX Spatial Audio doesn’t work.

Just stick to Synapse 3. If I remember correctly, Synapse 3 was too a mess at release and it took them several months to iron it out.

Bro when I say I have tried everything, that means I have tried everything lmao. I have tried synapse 2,3 and 4 and nothing works same thing with detecting in 3 and 4. Same as the pictures above. I have even tried uninstalling drivers with each program. I'm in talks with razor currently about the issue. They are, after an hour of conversation, raising the issue to a higher authority. Wish me luck, absolute joke that this issue is all over the internet with such a large expensive and considered somewhat premium company, truly disgusting

Then I think that your device is faulty.

That would be my luck, however Im seeing lots of people with the same issue over the internet so unless razor is shipping loads of faulty devices I have no idea

You have to realize two things:

  1. Dissatisfied customers are louder than satisfied, so mathematically speaking you will always see more complaints than praises.
  2. How Jack Sparrow once said - The problem isn’t the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Every single company in existence will at some point put a faulty unit into sale, but a good company will do everything in their power to fix it and satisfy you as a customer. Think of how ASUS treated the exploding Ryzen 7 7800X3D vs how Fractal Design treated the design flaw in one of their cases.

I'm totally aware of that, I never said they wouldn't be , not did I say it is dissatisfaction of these people? It's people raising awareness about the issue they have and searching for a solution. Sure if people don't have a problem they aren't going to make a thread saying "oh my razor product works perfectly", I get that i'm not an idiot mate. However when the internet is full of countless accounts of the same issue then it begs the question that it's quite common. But I'm unsure of the point you are trying to make this comment? Why are you saying this what exactly is it in regards to?

Sure I will judge them on their ability to fix the problem, but should the problem be so common? That I would argue no, I understand millions of products are shipped but when you are considered a premium product you should have very few issues as your process for checking shipped products should be pretty tight. So you can sit here and defend a large corporation, but I truly don't see why you are.

I was reacting to “however Im seeing lots of people with the same issue over the internet”. Hence my comment.

Also, I’m defending Razer. I’m merely saying that the existence of an issue isn’t an issues in and of itself.

This doesn't explain anything in regards to your comment in an attempt to give me some knowledge. In fact it's slightly condescending given the circumstance. If people have an issue they want a solution. This has nothing to do with being "louder" and complaining.

Anyway I'm not going to have an argument over ignorance in a razor thread forum post for Christ sake. I simply want a solution to the problem.

So or everyone having this issue and cannot solve it. Razor has solved it for me. Follow instruction on this link: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5776/~/how-to-use-the-device-detection-troubleshoot-tool

SIDE NOTE! I'm unsure exactly what this link does differently but I have done everything the program from the link does manual and it did not solve the problem. The program in the link somehow fixed the issue. So if you start this and see the uninstalling process and the little executor window that clears drivers and think to yourself, I have done all this shit already, fear not! As I had also done it all, but somehow this program did it differently or something a little extra.

GOOD LUCK!

I give up on Synapse 4.  I had the same problem before.  An upgrade from synapse 3 solved the problem for devices that was currently connected during the upgrade.  I have a big collection of Razer products and I bought the Razer mouse dock pro today.  Unfortunately, it is back to the old problem of Synapse stuck to detecting device for the new mouse dock and the mouse (Basilisk v3 Pro) that was perfectly working with Synapse 3.  Reinstalling Synapse 3 and upgrading to 4 is not a option for me anymore.  Too much of a hassle.  I’m moving back to version 3.  I have more than 30 Razer devices and I will not do an upgrade from version 3 to version 4 everytime i connect my other razer devices.  Support wasnt much of a help.  They just don’t know what to do.  They just send you the usual spiel they normally send out.
