Synpase 4 issues with THX Spatial audio volume and firmware update notifications.

pepper91

I’m currently using 2024 Razer Blade 14 and updated to the latest version of Synapse 4 on May 7th. Immediately after the update, I started experiencing the following two issues:

  1. Since the update, there's a bug causing the volume of THX Spatial audio to be lower than the set level. I usually set the volume to 8 with THX Spatial audio enabled. However, after restarting the laptop, even though the volume setting still shows 8, the audio output is noticeably lower. Upon investigation, I determined that Synapse 4 is causing this issue. Changing the sound setting in Synapse 4 from THX Spatial audio to Stereo and then back to THX Spatial audio temporarily fixes the issue, restoring the volume to its correct level.

  2. There's also a firmware update notification bug. When opening the Synapse 4 app, I receive a notification indicating that a firmware update is required, providing the following online link: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13930.
This link directs me to the BIOS version 1.06 update page. However, my laptop already has BIOS version 1.06 installed, yet the firmware update notification continues to appear persistently.

Clear cmos? I don't know how laptops work but it's usually a good idea after a bios update.
