Blade 17 - external monitor via USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 not working

I just tried something that worked for me (at least for now). I downgraded my nvidia driver to this: GeForce Game Ready Driver | 512.15 | Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 | NVIDIA. It's a few months old. And now the connection seems to be working fine.

I am not taken seriously by support at all. I was now asked if I can connect my monitor via HDMI..... I will now return the notebook. And I would recommend that to everyone here! Extremely poor performance from razer.

Got it working!!! The support rep told me to uninstall my latest drivers. And roll back to version 512.95 or lower. I am asking him when it is OK to update my drivers for game ready drivers and such. Will let you know when he replies! =)

I've got the same problem. Even with the Razer dock it doesn't want to work. every other PC or laptop will display an output. Got the Razer Blade 17 (2022) 3070 Ti, 12800H

Damn, which I knew that before I shipped back my unit...oh well

I can confirm that downgrading to 512.95 or older DOES WORK!! So I don't know if it is a razer exclusive problem or a Nvidia thing. But hopefully it will get fixed asap. P.S. I'm using the Razer Thunderbolt 4 Dock with my RZ09-0423x NED3-R3E1 on the Alienware AW3423DW. happily I am able to use a Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort 1.4 cable.

It also solved the problem for me but it would be better use the newest driver. When will Razer solve the Problem completly?

None of these downgrades seem to work for me? Am I missing something? I've been doing a clean install of the graphics driver, and tried a few different versions....still no USB-C video from Thunderbolt 4 on the Razer Blade Pro 17..?

**FIXED..!!** Spoke to the lovely chap at Razer Store in London, and he suggested a BIOS update for my 2021 Blade 17 Pro, and I updated from BIOS version 103 to 106 and it worked..!! So, I'm running latest Nvidia drivers, latest Thunderbolt 4 drivers, latest Synapse and this BIOS update was the final key to the mystery :)) USB-C Touchscreen now works on Thunderbolt 4 port with a single cable.

Reporting the same problem. Blade 15 12800H + 2080ti.

• Connecting to the Thunderbolt 4 Chroma dock using the supplied Thunderbolt 4 cable (Right side, Port L, per the manual, I believe).
• 1080p monitor connected to the dock with a Thunderbolt-to-hdmi cable.

Worked for a few weeks, with the exception that it only pushed the monitor at 120hz and not 240. Then the usb dongle for my wireless mouse completely failed and is no longer recognized on any computer. Then the monitor stopped being recognized unless I connected the dock to the USB Gen 3.2 Type C port (Q) on the other side. Will open ticket soon. I really hope this is something that can be easily resolved. Beautiful laptop, but can't keep it with a Thunderbolt 4 port that isn't fully functional, per spec.

update - i'm an idiot, didn't see page two of this thread, rolled back the nvidia driver, everything works except the dead wireless mouse dongle, guess I'm going mouse shopping again...

Our workaround is to perform a display driver rollback to 512.33, the same version in the Windows update. If the rollback button is grey out, uninstall the current driver and perform a Windows update check.

Did you see the post on page 2 of this thread? One user said they updated their bios and monitors work again with latest drivers. Anyone know if the BIOS update solution works with the Blade 15?

Oh also for the Blade 15 2022, for me the left side USB port works but only for 1 monitor. After I rolled back drivers I can get everything working again.

I have Blade 15 advanced model RZ09-0367, but nothing worked for me. I tried nvidia drivers 512.15 and 512.95 no success. Updated with Firmware Updater to v.14.1.53.1649, but still one monitor connected to thunderbolt 4 dock doesn't work. If I turn off working monitor the other one still doesn't show the picture; still no signal. If I switch monitors USB-C cable still nothing changed. What am I missing?

I saw everyone's confirmation, and if you are referring to BudgeMagraw's post, that's right, there's a BIOS update for the Razer Blade 17 2022 (1.06) intended to fix different frequencies shown in the OS compared to the CPU spec and improve the CPU's performance. I added my latest post to let everyone know the progress of the investigation. The team is still working with our devs and accepting feedback/reports from our users since this can help Razer come up with a resolution to any reported issues from the community.

I don't know how or why but my BIOS version is on 1.07 16/02/2022? P.S. I've done a system recovery a few times now, also have gotten an image from the support to flash a USB with. That is the recovery that I'm using right now, but I saw that I don't have a razer icc anymore. and where the file should be is an razer icc with no data.

Are you still using the laptop's original operating system or you've upgraded it? I suggest contacting our Support Team by initiating a case number through this link or send me a PM including the following: a. MSinfo logs. b. Screenshot of Windows version. c. Photo of the BIOS main tab. Save the file via Google Drive or any online drive, then paste the shareable link to your PM. Let's continue our discussion privately and avoid posting any info on this thread for security.

I can confirm it's, and has been happening with my 2022 Blade 15. I can also confirm with 100% certainty it started with the last two driver updates from Nvidia. To me it looks like it's linked at least partially to Nvidia's Advanced Optimus tech. I hope/assume Razer has reached out to Nvidia by now because this issue has been standing for at least several months, and on a $3,500 laptop it's pretty unacceptable.
