too powerful.
What is the number of RAM bank groups for the 16g models? Is it 4 bank groups (double sided) of 2 bank groups (single sided). I would love to know this since it makes a huge difference in high fps games.
A beast.
Excellent. Good news
8gig less vram on 1080p model compared to early 2021 model but 25 more watts… again razer disappoints
Hello friends,

New Razer Blade 17, it is as successful as Razer Blade 15 with 17" display.

I really like.

Perfect for content creators, streamers, home, work and college.

New Intel Core i7-11800H CPU and 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD are the biggest innovations that justify its purchase.

If you have the cash, want a new laptop, treat yourself. ^ _ ^

My only question for the 17" is the battery life. I see that the 17" have a 70Wh battery while the 15" gets a 80Wh battery. When powered from the wall, the 17" should kill the 15" in performance with the extra power to the CPU and GPU and getter cooling. For gaming, these laptops are tethers and that is fine. I still need to get through the day of working and web surfing on the battery. I am hoping that the 17" can be dialed in for 5 hours at lease.

Personally I recommend Razer Blade 15 if you move around often.

Its screen is smaller, it will consume less.

Also favor OLED technology and low refresh rate.

I was looking at the 15" Advance 3070 and 3080 and they both have 80Whr batteries. I do see what you are seeing for the Basic and the 3060 laptops. For me, the advance just for the bigger battery is already worth the extra cost.

The 17" is a bit more than just that. From the Razer store videos, I see that the CPU and GPU get more power. The 3070 in the 15" is up to 105W where the 17" with the better cooling goes up to 130W. I did not see how much more power the CPU gets, but my guess is another 10W or so.
People again not understanding they cheaped out and gave us just 8gig vram on the 3080 compared to last version which was 16gig on the 1080p screen.. all they did was up the watts…

If anyone from Razer is reading this, please enter the CPU and GPU watts into the Blade 17" web page. I only discovered that the new 11th gen 17" laptop support 130W GPU from a Razer store video. I would have bought the cheaper 15" if I did not discover this by accident.

CPU is 65W at PL1, which, together with the 130W GPU, makes me wonder if the 230W adapter is throttling.

i thought this too… this was almost the razer laptop I bought because I waited from the early 2021 model because the wattage was garbage for the peice and now they do this shiet..

Hello Brastic,

Please accept my apologies, I am comparing Razer Blade Basic model.

We agree that Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model is the best choice for travel.

Built-in 80WHr rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery.

But for Streamer, Youtuber having two NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs is the most important.

Razer Blade 17 sacrifice battery life and weight for better screen.

It is always a pleasure to chat about different choices that we have according to our needs.

Razer offers so many variations. ^ _ ^

No apologies necessary. The Razer web page is a total mess and the specs they list are very incomplete. I am very ready to replace my aging 2017 Razer Blade Pro and have been looking for a new laptop. If I just needed a work / play laptop, the Razer 14 with a 3080 would be an easy choice. I cannot believe how much power and battery life they put into that laptop. I really like my laptops to have easy docking and Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 is a must have for me. So I am looking at the Blade 15 and 17 right now. I am thinking that I will wait for the Blade 17 to start shipping on Aug 11 and see how the reviews come out.
Wait for next refresh or look else where tbh, not till they stop cheapin on the 3080 with only 8gvram
thanks for post!

Helpful feedback!
Really interested in the new blade 17. However, I'm finding mixed information on the wattage of the GPU's. At some places it's mentioned that all blades with 11th gen chips have 130w to the GPU, while at other places I read that this is only the case for the 3080 with i9 processor version. Hope someone over here is able to clarify this for me.
This information is really useful.
I see that the15" have PD, but does the 17" also have PD, if at what wattage?
hmmm, definitely not my cup of tea unless using this as a desktop replacement.

Would there be a number key pad for 17" laptop?

it better have it
Why there is a Pro 17 3070 QHD 165HZ and a Pro 17 3070 QHD 240HZ? What is the difference other then the refreshrate? Ist there may be GSync/Advacnced Optimus with the 240Hz version like in the 15“ Advacned or may be higher GPU power or something like that or is it just the 75HZ more on the display?
