Gaming Tablet (Laptop) similar to Razer Edge Pro? | Razer Insider

I'm stuck in a rather sticky situation. I have been having issues with my Razer Edge Pro for about 6 months now with my Nvidia graphics card randomly disappearing. Unable to resolve the issue and no longer able to send it to Razer for repairs, I decided to file a claim on it using my DirecTV Protection Premier Plan. In a nutshell, the terms of the plan state that if they are unable to repair my device, they will offer me a replacement of equal or slightly greater value or a check for the current market value of the device if I don't like the replacement options.

After nearly a month of waiting, I learned they were not able to repair the tablet because they said the motherboard needs to be replaced and it can no longer be purchased. I just got my replacement options and they are very disappointing. At first, they offered me a Microsoft Surface with only 4 GB of Ram and 64 GB of memory. When I pointed out the Razer Edge Pro had 8 GB of Ram and at least 128 GB SSD, they offered me the NMU-00001 and MCZ-00001 models instead. I looked them up online and, while they have the same ram and memory, they only have an Intel graphics card. Great for casual use but certainly not gaming tablets.

I asked them why they couldn't just offer me another Razer device. They said it's because their replacements all come from a vendor that doesn't sell Razer products. On top of that, they said the fair market value of my tablet is less than $300, which isn't enough to even buy a used working Razer Edge Pro off of eBay. Thankfully, I do have the option to get my old tablet back but with no other compensation. I think I'll just ask for the tablet back because at least it still ran, has value as a collector's item, and I might be able to get it repaired by someone else.

Before making a final decision, I figured I would ask on here for advice. Are the replacements they're offering fair? Are there any non-Razer gaming tablets\\laptops out there that are closer to what the Razer Edge Pro could do? Am I being foolish for wanting my Razer Edge Pro back in its current condition? I apologize if this is not on topic, but I figured it would be better to ask other Razer users. Thank you.
Intel latest iris Pro Graphics is better than Razer Edge gpu, your 640m le is slightly better than old hd620 but not to newest iris graphics plus on icelake cpu like on surface pro, it performs better, but the thing is such tablet doesn’t have good cooling like Razer Edge so it may throttle that ruins gaming experience. I upgraded my ram to 16 so it helped a bit performance, but still struggle handling AC unity once.
Do you have a model number for the Surface Pro you’re talking about? I searched online and the first one that came up was around $1,600. I doubt they’d be willing to go that high, but the terms of the plan do state they are supposed to get me a replacement equal to or slightly better than what I had.
I think I got some good news. After pointing out my concerns and copying and pasting a few lines from their own terms and conditions, I got a new replacement option. Apparently their vendor suddenly now has a Razer option and it’s the Razer Blade Stealth 13, but its model number is the RZ09-02810E71-R3U1 that has only 8 GB of ram and no Nvidia card.

I’m not too concerned about the ram and I don’t think they’re going to offer anything better than this. How does it compare to the Razer Edge Pro? Is the Intel card enough to match it? And would it be possible for me to upgrade this with Razer directly?

Isn’t that Razer Blade Stealth 13 early 2019 with whiskey lake cpu 8565U? Get it man, yes it doesn’t have Nvidia gpu and only 8gb ram but considering upgrade from 2013 Razer Edge it’s no brain imo. You can add Razer Core setting and put whatever gpu you want. There’s also portable egpu like from Lenovo (not quite sure if it’s now available in your area) if you really want power on the go, having TB3 port is great in nowadays system, plus the bezel and screen are also another upgrade, that use 1 watt low voltage display that great for the battery life. For some games maybe gt640le performs a bit better but you won’t notice the huge difference, I think I was comparing rise of Tomb Raider between Razer Edge and stealth 2016 Intel hd620 back then, it wasn’t too much difference.

Really? I reached out to Razer support and the agent made it sound like it was inferior when it came to gaming. When I looked up the model number on Best Buy, this is what came up: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/razer-blade-stealth-13-3-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-256gb-solid-state-drive-black-cnc-aluminum/6319496.p?skuId=6319496

Is this what you meant?
I’m talking about comparison with your Razer Edge, your Razer Edge would also struggle handling recent triple A title and there’s nothing you can do, but with that stealth you can use Razer Core help to transform it in to gaming laptop that can handle latest titles with the TB3 connection.
