Just received notification from Razer Synapse that a BIOS update was required (5th July, 2022 - Australia)
I followed the instructions to ensure all drivers were up to date, and then installed the BIOS update.
System completed the update, shutdown. Then when I loaded up to the Windows 11 desktop and logged in, the start bar did not load and the screen showed the desktop (with trashcan) and nothing else, then immediately flashed white, then repeated over and over, never completing loading the OS.
A hard shutdown and restart did not fix it, neither did a BIOS settings reset to factory.
I have since done an F9 Recovery and everything is now working. Just have to install ALL of my apps again.
Posting this in case anyone else gets into the same boat.
Thanks,
Shane.

Thanks for bringing this up to our forum. Did you run the BIOS update again? You may want to analyze your hard drive test (check disk) to ensure that there are no errors and run repairs automatically.

Hi - after the Windows Recovery (ie reinstall of the OS) - everything has booted now. SSD reports no issues.
Trying BIOS update from 2.02 to 2.07 again.
- Run "RazerUpdater_v1.1.1.3_PI480-BIOSv0207.exe"
- Status bar progressing smoothly
- Gets to 75% status bar and screen goes white
- Screen comes back but display resolution reduced (everything is BIG)
- Windows temporarily reports audio issues in bottom right toast status
- Status bar at 90%
- Status hits 100% and computer says its restarting
- Screen goes black
- Computer is off : pulsing green led light on front right of laptop - nothing happening
- Waited about 1-2 mins, screen lights up (I DID NOT DO THIS LAST TIME - I POWERED ON THE SYSTEM)
- Message: Version 2.22.1283 : New CPU installed. Press Y to reset fTPM, N to keep previous fTPM.
- I've selected Y to reset, as otherwise it states fTPM won't enable unless I reinstall previous CPU.
- Screen goes black.
- Razer logo, windows booting.
- Windows boots - states PIN no longer available due to change in security settings.
- Choose set up my PIN - requires Microsoft Account Login.
- New PIN setup
- Windows has booted
Everything is working now and on the latest BIOS. Seems when the system looks like it has turned off and is pulsing the green LED you just have to wait. Then do a bunch of things you have no instructions on.
Thanks,
Shane.

Right on! Thanks for the extra notes. Everyone will surely benefit from this, especially those who newly owned a Razer Blade. Cheers, Shane!
Hi guys, I also performed this bios update. Whilst I can log in, my windows hello no longer works. Should I follow the same procedure as above?
Thanks
Thanks
