How can i justify a purchase of the 2070 RTX Blade 15 in EU when it is €405 overpriced after adding the EU VAT compared to the US price?
The Blade RTX 2070 is priced at $2599 (€2302) in the US store and €3259 in the EU store. The EU price includes the VAT which is 24% of the €2302. This equals to a VAT of €552, making the total price €2302 + €552 VAT = €2854. What makes the price difference of €405. The customs is actually €0 for the product. How can the shipping alone cost €405 ($457)?
I would happily pay €100 extra for the effort to ship to Finland, but €405 is absolutely absurd for something that is not even handled by Razer.
I would have already placed the order if this was not the case. Don't you want to make sales in Razer or is it really this easy to fool the EU customers?
Edit: I found a large local retailer who sell the product for €2949, which is just €100 more than the adjusted US price + i get their return policy (Razer is no good). I just read about all the issues (BOE screen, coil whine, bleed) in reddit and am afraid to pull the trigger. Luckily i can just return it to the local retailer if there are issues, but still.
Edit 2: I found an even cheaper local retailer selling the same exact product for € 2699,00. That my firends is a whopping 18.8%, or €560 cheaper than Razer's online store. Why would they inflate prices so extremely is absurd.
