Razer Kraken X Mic Static

I have been using this headset for about 2 weeks perfectly fine then last night this awful static started and it wont stop. drivers are up to date headset is 3.5mm jack tried front and back jacks no difference PC isnt even 6 months old but had no problems with my PS headset? any help would be appreciated
