Razer Basilisk X Mouse Stops working

While I am in a game, my mouse suddenly and, for no apparent reason, stops working. The cursor disappears from my screen. If I just wait about 20-30 seconds, it fixes itself and works fine until the next stoppage which may not happen for hours or even days. I change the battery and it does not seem to have any effect on it. It is only 3 month old but it started acting like this only about 2 weeks ago. Is this a defect or is there a logical explanation to it. I have not added any new software since the original installation of this device. It seemed to appear after this last Razer update.
