Razer Kiyo Pro webcam

I was just given a Kiyo Pro Webcam and the firmware was never updated. When I try to update it, I get the message to contact support. Can someone help me with this update? I'm trying to go from version 1.0 to 1.05. Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue, update software sees the cam connected to show version 1.00 but only shows "please contact razer support".

And I'm getting zero help with the issue. Just want to update the camera firmware. Shouldn't be this difficult.

From what version did you upgrade ? 1.00 or higher ? As the problem seems to be in some webcams that have 1.00. Other people that had 1.03 did not have an issue.

You are correct, in the post the steps taken were not mentioned. I did try a lot though from different cables, usb ports, computers and also the "run as admin" option with both the 1.03, 1.04 and 1.05. As searching the internet and also the Razer Community I found out that a certain batch has issues being able to update the firmware and Razer seems to have a default solution to exchange those faulty devices with other ones. Guess you were not subjected to a faulty unit.

This straight process and there is not a lot you can do to fix it. Like mentioned above if your router have antivirus and ffirewall diasable it also on pc run as admin exe file if you try this alredy. Here you cant find help. You must contact razer chat support and send it as faulty device for replacement.

Just remembred you can also try this. Ciose synapse and Razer central then open Tusk menager and select runned apps look for synapse and Razer central force close then and be sure they are not running in back ground. Close anyvirus and firewall on PC also on router if have this fetures. Open update as admin and try to update. If this dont help contact Razer support and ask for replacement becose of faulty unit. It can be a issue with onboard memory that hołd firmware or permission issue during update.
