My razer naga pro just stopped working

le_paulino

"As the title says, my Razer Naga Pro just stopped working. It doesn't light up at all. I've let the battery drain and plugged it in, and it blinked red for a few seconds and then went black again. Do you think my mouse is dead, or is it something else?"

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

I have the same problem, at noon it works, in the evening it doesn't make any light, I can't plug it in, nor activate the bluetooth.

I've checked the sensor underneath with a phone camera, and it reacts well to the click: the sensor lights up.

I tried with 2 different computers, with usb, with the dongle or with bluetooth... impossible to make it work again.

I've also tried holding down the left, right and middle clicks at the same time to reset it.
No luck.
It's impossible to plug it in via usb, so I can't try to update the drivers.

If anyone has a magic solution (apart from buying a new one) please let me know.
😥

Sorry te hear, also sorry to not bring any decent reply.

I also am getting this issue, while in BT connection it just fell asleep, turned off on itw own still with energy.

I remember it happened to me before, tried the fixes provided on the internet in vain, was waiting for paycheck thinking it died, until like days later it turned on on its own…

Now it is doing it again, and I dont know what t do, all I know, it has still a red light inside somehow still working.

Hoping there is a real thing to do to fix this.

We love to see that Razer hasn’t bothered to chime in or leave any advice whatsoever.

Have had constant issues with my Naga Pro when it goes into hibernate from being idle. When it tries to reconnect it stays a solid dark blue color and won’t connect. The only thing that would fix it was restarting my computer. It does this on every computer I’ve used it on, regardless of clean installs, etc.

Then finally one day it went idle and stayed black. Razer support said there was nothing they could do because it was over a year old. 150$ mouse less than 2 years old not working. 😒😒. Finally came across someone who had the same issue who told me to leave it off the charger until it died all the way, and then recharge it.

My Naga pro just died too. I’m not seeing detection when I plug it in on my system logs. This sucks.

my naga pro was dead for a week and finally got WAKE UP.

what worked for me was i turn on wireless and left it alone and after a few days it was ON but without battery.

I think that the mouse got into some stupid sleep mode where the solution was wait until it needs charging.

I could not charge it and even when i plug it into laptop it did not recognize it, now everything is good.

good luck for the rest of your i hope this helps.

Mine eventually drained to the point where it must have restarted or whatever. It started flashing red out of no where. Charged it, and it works again. Would be good to get some kind of idea why this happened.

I guess I gotta wait around for awhile till it just turns back on from being dead to see if that is the fix for me too.

Yeah, keep the on switch to wireless or bluetooth, then leave it on and not plugged in. Wait like a week (can check every couple of days to see if it wakes up blinking red). Then after a week (1.5 weeks?) plug it in. See if it lights up.

Thanks for the advice! Razer pretty much just told me it was defective and to send my receipt to them. Problem is that its probably just past the warranty date. I will just leave it here sitting on my desk. I could see in my bluetooth connected devices that my Razer naga v2 pro was still there with 14% battery life left. So hopefully that 14% doesn’t take too long to drain.

*Update* After letting it completely die (the red light inside the mouse turned off) I plugged it in and it started working again. Thanks again for the advice and solution for the fix. Was more helpful than razer support to be honest.

My Naga V2 Pro just did this as well. Started barely working and then i tried unplugging and plugging it back in and it was fully unresponsive.

I left it off the cord for an hour and then tried the battery drain trick mentioned earlier in this thread.  After an hour i plugged it back in with a different cord and all of a sudden it lights back up to life. When I checked it in Synapse it said the battery was at 0%, despite my naga always being wired in. for at least the last 24 hours before this happened.

Already on latest firmware too. Really dont like seeing multiple of these reports in the last 2 weeks.

Mine just died too.. will leave it on in Bluetooth mode without being plugged in to see if that drains the battery and fixes it with a plug-in.

I will admit, I discovered I was not on the latest firmware with my Naga mouse.

Every time I scrolled the scroll wheel, the device would turn off for the amount that I used the wheel. This would lead to the mass being unusable for bursts of time. Different plugs on my PC made no difference. And I was unable to use it in wireless mode unless I charged it from a wall outlet. Synapse was also reporting. The battery was 100% dead all the time. Even if the PC was left on overnight. My mouse is usually plugged in.

After the firmware update to version 1.03, it actually did fix my problems. Synapse immediately reported that my battery was at 100% and wireless mode worked once more.

I don't know if it was actually the new update that fixed this bug that only showed up at this point. Or if just a firmware reset would have did the same.
