Huntsman v3 Pro Tenkeyless cannot sync profiles properly with Synapse 4 (DE ISO)

I am using Synapse 4. The Keyboard cannot properly store any profiles locally. Every time when I restart the PC, profiles might not work or snap tap might be disabled. Then I need to open Synapse and press on using Synapse over the keyboards settings.

When I select to use the keyboard settings and look at the profiles, it seems very suspicious that always the ISO DE specific keys never store the changed actuation points and possibly this could result in the entire profile not syncing?

Other weird things are that the keyboard always stays on 99.27% storage space and this never changes. And a lot of times the syncing of profiles is stuck at 20% in Synapse.

Is there anything I can do to have the keyboard remember the local storage and sync properly with Synapse?

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

I actually figured out exactly at which point the sync does not work anymore and wrote this bug report for you to try and reproduce:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Huntsman V3 Pro Tenkeyless (DE ISO)
    • Firmware 1.4.0.0
  • Synapse 4
    • Version Dec 13.2024
  • Windows 11 (23h2)
  • (Windows 11 keyboard layout set to German ISO layout)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • Open Synapse 4
  • Open the keyboards configuration in the software
  • Open one of the profiles that is synced with the internal storage of the keyboard
  • Go to the actuation points configuration (second tab)
  • Change the default actuation for one of the DE ISO specific buttons, for example for “#” or “<”,
    • Change the actuation from 1,2 to 1,4 or something else
    • Optionally:  Do any other changes
  • Click on the refresh button and wait a little bit to ensure that the keyboard is trying to sync the changes to the keyboard
  • Now either close Synapse and re-open it  or disconnect and reconnect the keyboard

RESULT:

  • The keyboard did actually not store the latest profile changes correctly
  • In Synapse 4, the loading of profiles might get stuck at 20% or something else (in this case restart Synapse or disconnect and reconnect the keyboard again)
  • When you are able to go into the keyboards profile configuration, the software will ask you to use the keyboard or synapse specific settings, because your last changes did not save properly
  • When you click on using the keyboards settings, you will see that the actuation points for the DE ISO specific buttons were not changed, but are still on the default 1,2
    • Other changes done might also not have saved properly and will be reverted

EXPECTED RESULT:

  • The keyboard should be able to store any configurations made with the Synapse software, regardless of it being on ISO or ANSI specific buttons
  • The keyboard should always sync correctly with the Synapse settings, regardless of using a ISO or ANSI keyboard
  • After setting up the profiles in Synapse, they keyboard should remember the stored profiles even when not using Synapse

Having the same issue on a full size Huntsman v3 Pro.

Absolutely unacceptable at this price point.

“Upgraded” from an Ornata V2 a few days ago and I ended up lurking razer support looking for answers on why nothing is being saved. At one point the keyboard refused to work when synapse was off, somehow a PC restart fixed that.

Hope this thread catches some traction and we get a fix soon.

Yes, its a little bit silly that we buy such an expensive keyboard and the storage on the keyboard does not even work.
