Blade 2018 Base Model BIOS Update

Hey everyone! Looking for some clarification or even some help on a bios update for the Blade 15 2018 Base Model. I'm currently on version 1.01, and have seen multiple posts online saying that the advanced model's BIOS update is compatible with the base model. (latest version 1.05?) When i try to run the updater, i'm met with the following message: "The firmware tool is for use only with Blade and compatible system" I've seen people offer solutions to do with the serial number being missing in the bios, I've checked my bios and it shows the correct serial number. I was wondering if anyone had any success in resolving this issue and getting their blade updated?

    Run Bios update from your model support page, I don’t recommend using advanced bios updater, it’s different configuration even has some similar hardware, for example heat sink type, the Fans setting on bios should be different value. On advanced 2018 officially on website it’s bios 1.05 I don’t see yet for base. I personally doing bios Update when it’s necessary, so far no issues with current version I never update it.

    It is as @Joikansai says. We currently do not have an advance updater for the base RB15 so you should stick with the one in the official support page. By the way, are you having any sort of issues with your current config?
