Razer Naga Trinity sensor not working correctly on mousepad

Recently my naga trinity has begun "lagging" a little bit when I use it on a mousepad. What started happening is that when I lift it up and then put it back down again it doesn't react to movement for the first second. However, if I use it on my desk instead, it works perfectly fine. Reacts to movement immediately without any delay. This just started happening recently and I've had my mousepad for some time before without any problems with the naga trinity, so it's most likely not the mousepad. I've also tested it on other mousepads and had the same issue.
