another problem added to the mix

Did you've tried RVU dongle on another computer (or at least another port)? Does it behaves the same? Also does the dongle is connected to USB port directly? Or via USB Hub? It's not possible to have different Chroma settings, when you have the 2 (or more) same mousepads or other peripherals (the same PID_VID combination on each).

Thanks for the post. tried on another computer, proper PC... same issues. tried directly to the PC and via HUB. Never had any issue with other wireless mice. It drives me crazy that I always need to make sure my mouse is turned off when I turn on my laptop, then plug out the dongle, re-insert it, turn the mouse back ON. and then I can start using the mouse... til I leave my PC for a while or watch sometime full-screen. I tried making the low battery mode in the application longer, didnt help. I completely turned off the lighting effects to extend the battery life. dunno, first time i bought razer products and its a shame this is what I got. isnt it supposed to be for gamers? in a middle of a game to have the mouse not clicking or completely dying ... my logitech mouse with batteries lasts several months. and zero problems, not to mention everything works with only 1 dongle. Only the keyboard and gamepads are working well, since they are wired. unless there are problems with the application. which happens quite often. lighting setup disappears or app. doesnt wanna run after a software update. isn't there a fix to control both via the application or change manually the PID? I should have bought the long version instead of getting 2. I never had to go through hoops with non-gaming (much cheaper) devices.\\ btw I just noticed that mouse button 5 isnt working. what a mess! edit: does the mouse stops clicking til I do ctrl-alt-del relates to the new software update? 16464->16485

Update: upgraded the firmware and still... * button 5 is not responding. * after a while or while in lock screen, isn't clicking. * after turning on the computer I still need to unplug the dongle turn off the mouse and plug in, and turn on the mouse. * haven't checked the battery, lighting still turned off and I put the mouse on the charging dock whenever possible. My old and cheap logitech ran for months on AAA/AA without issues... and everything worked with only 1 dongle. I'm about to give up on my entire razer setup :(

One more thing - go to Windows device manager, find your mouse & dongle and uncheck option for power saving (Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power). With mousebutton 5 - check if it's properly bound in Synapse, or just create a new profile setting.

update: no solution here and no reply from razer so I've returned my first gaming mouse which was the most expensive (180$) mouse i ever used... and instead im using a 1$ mouse instead without problems! (not the same quality but, you get what you pay for, which wasnt the case with my razer basilisk ULTIMATE).
