Viper Mini Mouse Firmware Updater - says "Connect the device to your PC", even though it's connected and it works.

Wu-Ren

Hello, I’ve recently bought a Razer Viper Mini and I’m trying to edit the colours through Synapse 3 but the mouse is nowhere in the “Devices” list. I thought it might have to do with the drivers so I tried looking for the drivers here and all I’ve found was this “Viper Mini Mouse Firmware Updater”. The problem?

Even though the mouse is connected and works just fine, the updater will keep saying "Connect the device to your PC". I’m going crazy with this, I just want to edit my colours…

Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you for your time reading.

If you have valorant installed, then remove Riot Vanguard anti-cheat software, as it may make Razer devices to be not available in Synapse etc.

I have never installed Valorant, I do have League of Legends but by checking my programs I do not seem to have Riot Vanguard.

Try clean Synapse reinstall. Also before you’ll do it, check if mouse is connected directly to USB port on motherboard (at least USB 3.0 or above).

  1. Uninstall Synapse
  2. Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  3. Then restart your PC
  4. After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

Yep, I’ve tried all possible USB ports earlier and no dice. I’ll try uninstalling and running that tool. Thank you.
