seems like a software issue than a hardware issue.

With the hardware troubleshooting

  • Try plugging your headset to a different computer
  • Try plugging the kraken to a different USB port

RAZER products have issues with some usb ports like

  • Faulty USB port
  • Multi USB hub

With software troubleshooting

  • update your PC usb driver
  • update your synapse version
Sorry i should have mentioned it is the BT version. will the fix be the same?

Maybe, now we need to look at the possibility of faulty bluetooth software or hardware.

If I'm correct, Kraken Kitty BT uses the RAZER audio app on mobile to sync the Bluetooth to your smartphone.
We will need to take a look at the software issue on your mobile phone and sync your headset to the phone after every troubleshooting steps. If one fails than move onto next step.

  • Restart your mobile phone
  • If the sound is still faulty, see if there is a new update on your mobile phone and install it.
  • If the sound is still faulty, remove your current RAZER audio app and re-install with new one.
  • It could be your phone needs a factory reset to remove any software bugs in the system.

This pretty much covers the software side of mobile phone troubleshooting, next we might need to look at the hardware.

Kraken Kitty you can use it on PC and mobile phone. I'll try cover both areas.

Starting with mobile
Kraken Kitty BT uses BT version 5.0 technology. It is important that mobile phone BT version and Kraken BT version are the same, otherwise due to that version difference you can face degradation in sync and some audio faults.

Click here to find out the BT version you have on your mobile phone (you'll have to search your phone)

Whether if it is a BT version issue, the next to do is....

  • Try get another mobile phone (BT version 5.0 or greater) and follow the audio sync

Next is PC
Kraken Kitty BT comes with a BT usb dongle.

  • Try plugging this to an another USB port
  • If that fails, maybe you might need to buy a new BT usb adapter. Try the RAZERcare store

Personally, I do not like wireless devices because it is difficult to narrow down the fault search.

The fault could be something so simple as

  • Making sure you have fully recharged your headset

Never realized Kraken Kitty is widely flexible and so many ways to go troubleshooting.
