well damn and double damn. LOL
I have my original Tiamat 7.1 headset and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It works like a dream and I have zero reasons to replace it.

But I sure do want to try this new one!!! Dammit ... too much money to justify replacing mine "just because I want to use the new one" ... but I sure wish I could... damn again. LOL :big_grin_::big_grin_::big_grin_:

I remember i paid 179.99€ back in december 2012 for the old one and got a free razer messenger bag.
I still working great. the most comfortable headset I ever used. my only wish was that they would sell replacement ear cushions.

Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 are now in stock.

For those of you complaining it comes with no free item you can use Promo Code "EPIC17US" "might be US only idk" on order over $179 for a free Razer Messenger Bag, I would have liked a free Razer Headset Stand but hey it's something free right. I just hope they do not offer a nice Promo Code for it soon as in August Promo Code that offers the Headset Stand or some other nice item.

*sight* what headset should I buy now, there are too many, I think I have to spend the entire summer holidays researching which one is the best...

Yea I feel yea man, I just got done spending almost the whole month looking at headphones, I had my eyes on the Asus centurion 7.1 since Sept 2016 that was about when my Tiamat 7.1 started to short out, and when the ASUS centurion 7.1 finally came out for NA in July not only did it have its mic issue but other issues with software and left ear cup people started reporting about, and a few days before that there were quite a few good closed back headphones on sale, Sennheiser and Audio-Technica that were no longer on sale after the Centurions came out, and then I happen to find the audio-technica a990z on sale for $100 but they were sold out by the time I placed the order some sennheiser game zeros, sennheiser 598cs, audio-technica a990z, or just some Kraken pro v2, and then I happen to miss clicked on Razer Insider and seen I had an Alert of someone posting the teaser for the new Tiamat v2.

If they have a good mic in them I might consider picking one up despite the high price!

any early reviews?

A few people have mentioned buying it here. No reviews from them but here is an outside one if you are interested.

They seem nice and would have probably looked further into these headsets if I didnt buy the man owar a few weeks back.

Sigh, my order was canceled and the 7.1v2 are still sold out, been using the rear drivers only on old Tiamat 7.1 for a good month now, I am not sure how much longer I can take this torture.

At least you got to place an order at all. Those of us living in Australia haven't been so lucky.

EDIT: Aussies who don't want to wait for Razer to stock the AU store can order from Amazon and it'll ship to Australia. Be warned that it'll be a 1-2 month wait according to Amazon.

That's actually to a review from half a decade ago 😮 That said, I can give my own seal of approval for the Tiamat 7.1 V2 a solid improvement from the already amazing originals.

Anyone who missed out on getting their order in (or had their order cancelled as was the case for @Kirinketsu) due to the Razer store being out of stock can also use the same Amazon link I provided earlier.

My Tiamat 7.1 v1 lost its ear cup cushioning.
And now this Tiamat is released.
Coincidence?
Edit: Does anybody know the European Release Date?

Sorry, but this is a product refresh.
Tiamat 7.1 existed from 2011 (or 2012, not sure).

Awesome, I've been waiting on getting the kraken since my old tiamat broke, but now I am definitely getting this instead. Most comfortable headset i've ever owned.
