[TotW] Anzu, too?

Userlevel 7

I want one.

Do you? What would you use it for? This week's Thread of the Week explores the myriad of uses Insiders would put the Anzu through. Like and comment how you would use the Anzu Smart Glasses for a chance at the weekly "Great" achievement. Two additional interesting comments will be rewarded with the repeatable "Nice" achievement.

Good luck!

Awesome as sunglasses n gr8 while gaming
These are perfect office glasses. For work, I sit in front of a computer all day under horrible fluorescent lighting so changing the brightness on my screens will not cut it which is why I already wear blue light filter glasses. I take calls on my cell phone via bluetooth earbuds and through a work phone via headset with boom mic which means I need to swap between them. Using the Anzu glasses will eliminate the need to swap the earbuds and the headset. I only hope a higher blue light reduction lens comes out. But, I am still getting these.

Would've been way cooler if those supports were a bit thicker to make them look like a normal pair.
cool glasses
Looks cool

it was a joke lol...ik that as time goes on our tech will progress to what was once known as impossible

HAHA. no Worries, sorry if it came across as me becoming defensive. Was just trying to say in a non-confrontational way that I reckon at some point this will take off.... but yeah.... not in the Google glasses way... that was an epic fail on their part.

Too early for it's time :)
I think there is still some way to go for mainstream adoption and making it affordable to the wider population. Also businesses aren't fully geared for the ecommerce world (though I do believe that Covid has given some a nudge in the right direction i.t.o. going virtual and steering towards electronic services).

In it's current form and climate, sure... we're not there. But give it some time and some further adoption and evolution and wearable tech will become a daily part of life. Look at fitness watches from the initial perdometer (step counter) to what it's involved into with Apple watches and Garmins. From something that initialy tried to figure out how many times your body bounced to now being able to read incoming messages to you and reply.

It's coming, just wait....

Well the better question is what would you to do with them?
I think wearable tech is the future and somewhere in the not to distant future will be used for booking hotels, checking the weather, asking Google Questions, etc. The days of having a large general knowledge is gone as everything is at the tip of your fingers, and hey if it comes with added health benefits like reducing strain on your eye, even better!
I think these would be great like when commuting that you can listen to your own music and not share your headset with your kids. Or enhance your extended gaming sessions by reducing strain on your eyes. Best part is you get to look pretty cool whilst doing so!

i dont think these r sunglasses. I think they r for indoors mostly coz of the eyecare feature

"the polarized replacement lenses shield your eyes from the sun with 99% UVA/UVB protection"

Given the truth about blue light and what I posted here

/anzu-visionary-sound.71198/

I'd never buy gaming glasses. If you want to save your eyes from screen light in general just turn the brightness down to 10 or something a few hours before going to sleep. It has helped me a lot and it's recommended

While it's true that blue light isn't necessarily bad for your eyes, as you said, it keeps you awake. So minimising blue light before going to sleep is good. The sun emits blue light, so that's why it helps to wake you up in the morning.

I'd use them a lot. Blue-blockers, music, sunglasses, there's a lot you could do. Even with most companies paying attention to eye strain on their screens, it is still nice to have blue-blocking lenses. I wish there was more with the glasses that make them 'smart', like Alexa or the google assistant for questions, directions, weather, whatever.

They are voice assistant compatible :smile_:

I'll use them everyday since I sit in front of a PC more than 12 hours a day.
But I'd change the glasses for photochromic ones, so I could use them as sunglasses too.
I do some car detail, i would try it for style 😉
I would wear them all most all the time but i want to know if they work well outside

Hello friends,

I don't use glasses with blue light filtering to look at the computer screen.
Should I use to protect my eyes in your opinion ?

But I think Razer Anzu Smart Glasses would be perfect for summer to go out with those polarized sunglass lenses.
The integrated hands-free kit looks really practical for connecting with my smartphone. ^_^

It would be nice if they were, i wouldn't have to spent more money on changing the glass.

First thing it came to mind is bicycling or/and driving during summer that feels like hel it self each and every summer with those high temperatures. I'm not going anywhere without my sunglasses but ANZU feels like it would motivate me even more to hiking or even jogging.

I totally need this ! Of course to protect my eye from blue light while gaming and i can hear any music whenever and wherever i go without having to find and wear the normal earphone or TWS earbud
Expensive niche item.
