Console users, what are your thoughts? Are you anti-KB/M? Is your controller the best expression of hand-eye coordination?

And who are the lucky ones that "just get them all?"

I'm excited for the new consoles, not for themselves, but to bring Raytracing and higher FPS to the masses and hopefully it will increase these games and improvements for us PC gamers. 4K and for sure 8K is just marketing fluff, and it sounds like some games like Valhalla are still going to run at 30 FPS which is crazy. Hopefully Devs will at least have some more power to work with on the new consoles.
I personally like PC much over Console, with multifunction in PC, either working, gaming, movie, or content creation. All could be done in PC.

For Console, it is much inconvenience, every game needs to be purchased and so much limitation. You may use your control to plug in PC but Console like PS4 are limited.
I like PC much more than console as well, I hope the next generation will be compelling both into one.

The PC would provide a much better performance, and my home has limited space, so I never buy a console like Playstation ever.

But now I abandoned desktop as well. I really hate cleaning dust for it. And due to the convenience of work and studies, I switch to light weigh gaming notebook 4 years ago. Even it has a smaller screen. Portability and functionality are both equally important in the modern age.

Still prefer PC gaming + discord with friends online.
You can use controllers on PC, kb/m on consoles, but PC still gives the best performance. As a gamer, as long as it's playable, it's ok. The only thing I don't like are the exclusives.
I'm with the PCMR forever. The only reason i would ever try a console is because of some of the games, that would be the only competition imo. Nonetheless the pc is superior from all points of view.

True, some of the AAA game only provide PS4 platform. But I think nowadays they become multiplatform like Call of duty.

I just hate the fact that consoles ask you to pay for online play. Its the only reason I dont invest into the console ecosystem. I mean I paid for the game fully so why should I pay extra for multiplayer features.

Consoles have their place in gaming tbh. The casual nature and the controller are perfect for couch gaming, might even argue that consoles are more portable even though SFF PCs can be as small as them.
If you ask me, PC all the way.

It's a bit more expensive, but the ability to upgrade or quick fix some hardware problems makes it much easier to maintain.

Plus, you are not obliged only to gaming. You can do so much more with the PC when comparing with consoles.
why don't we just appreciate what the technology that brought us to the point that we need to choose between platforms? they clearly bringing the gamers the experience of the next generation with this consoles. i dont know why you all argue between PC vs Console. all that matter is we play games and razer is there to provide awesome peripherals to all kind of platform? (but still pc lol)
these things never end well ... lol. but here goes:

I am genuinely impressed with how far consoles have come and that there is room in the world for BOTH pc and consoles... but PC MASTER RACE FTW.

There is no competition! Period.

The experience is "not the same" on console. Have your console friends ever raved about how great WOW or StarCraft or WC3 is? Of course not! Because on console those games simply dont work out.

For those of you who play Overwatch, do you recall the nerf they put in place to slow down Torb and Sym Turrets? Console players complained how about fast the turrets would aim/lock on ... this was never an issue on PC. OH and, if consoles were so great ... why is the entire Overwatch League played on pc and using KB / Mouse?

Do any of you have friends or co workers that say "a GOOD player with controller can go toe to toe with a KB / Mouse user" ... I have plenty. Fast forward to today, where cross platform is a thing ... those same players all of a sudden feel that kb / mouse is not fair because they can click and kill more easily than controller ... *insert MM HMMM face*

BONUS points = Anytime I see people on social media war over xbox vs playstation, I cant help but laugh at both sides. #PCMASTERRACE
Hello friends,

In my personal opinion, the PC remains the best video game platform:

- Because you can play multiplayer on the internet without paying a subscription.

- We have an extraordinary number of PC video games since 1981 all playable.

- You can also use an emulator.

- Frame per second of 240 Hz.

- Star Citizen will only be on PC.

- Keyboard / mouse devices are better suited to FPS, RTS, moba, point and clic, adventure.

The PC computers are modular, customizable to better match these needs. We can all do with a computer, play, work, stream, pictures / movie / music / 3D editing.

On the other hand, it can require a significant investment in money to buy the computer of these dreams,

OMG, my banker refuses to buy the magnificent Razer Blade Pro 17. :’(

Do you think the KFC console to be a gamechanger? lol

PC is my main plataform for gaming, since I usually play First Person Shooters which are better suited to computer. Though one thing can't be denied, controllers works best for some games.

If PlayStation 5 is good, I'll consider buying it, since I've been wanting to play Uncharted and Last Of Us series for a long time, but I'll never ditch the computer gaming.
Maybe I'll pass with the consoles for this time, saving up for a razer blade
Personally, I like PC more because of KB/M and stores like steam. It provides an easier way to browse through games than Xbox would. It is a difficult choice for me because i grew up on Wii and Xbox, so I will always love console gaming and have only gotten into PC in the last year or so. Whether on PC or Xbox, i get to play with my friends on all the games I love, so I am happy with whichever I play on.
In terms of power, there is no discussion over which one is better.

Many of you will remember that the UE5 demo we saw running on the PS5 at 1440p/30fps was also rendered by a laptop with an RTX-2080 at 1440p/40+fps.

There! https://www.pcgamer. com/unreal-engine-5-tech-demo-pc-performance/

The best proof that you can get the performance of a 2-year-old GPU generation in the next generation of consoles.

They are not even in the same ballpark. The Nvidia 3000s are the chad generational leap.

As for game selection, PCMR comes out victorious in this category as well and with ease.

The XBOX SX and PS5 win hands down in the price-to-performance ratio (RTX 2080 power in the 500-600 dollar range) and in exclusives.

ps

I'm not bashing on either side here. Whether you game on a console or you are a proud PCMR member, you are all true gamers in my book :wink_:!
I have been on team PlayStation from the absolute beginning. I 100% plan on getting the PS5 as well. I am roped into their ecosystem and franchises. I also love PC gaming but there's just something about gaming on a dedicated console that makes it feel right for certain games. Since I have a Razer Blade Advanced, I have all of my bases covered IMO. The Xbox Series X looks interesting but for me, the Xbox just doesn't have the exclusives that interest me anymore. Fable was amazing but since it's a dead IP there's zero draw for the console, especially since most of their games end up on PC as well. It's just not worth investing in an Xbox to me.

Its been rumored for quite a while now that a studio is working on a Fable 4.I dont think it's Lionheart though i dont remember. lets hope they will deliver eventually.

I totally aggre though, the Xbox show except 1-2 titles had nothing to offer this year and its been like this since forever.PS5 on the other hand...They showed a few titles yes but will that worth buying day one?Not with the price everyone is thinking of at the moment.
Sticking with PC, but more new consoles generally means more games being made, and at least most of them being ported over.

Win - win?
For me it will always be the PC. I am absolutly horrible in gaming using a gamepad especally in fifa. 😓 Of course a PC is more expensive than a console and a console can be used for a very long time until the next generation of games are on the market. But there are some genres of games that are only playable on PC only. For me it feels like you can play almost every game on PC even if it takes a lot of practice when you are not used to it.✌
I've been for long a PC player with a bunch of consoles, but as time goes by, I've spent less and less on console (available time and money helped this status a lot).

Now when I buy a console, it's more for my children than myself tht's why i still got my PS3 and they have the Switch.

And considering the fact that more and more games are mutli support, I just have to wait a bit (one year like FF VII remake) to get them on my favorite machine.
Consoles are not so "open" as pc's are.
still choosing pc for gaming, kekw
