I bought a laptop with a pretty powerful CPU just about a month ago. I want to upgrade it with a better desktop graphics card so I was about to buy the Razer Core X. However, I found out that my laptop doesn't have a Thunderbolt 3 port and only has a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C Port (same design as the thunderbolt 3, so I can plug the thunderbolt 3 cable into the port). I am wondering if the Core X will still work with this laptop before I buy it.

Unfortunately not, the bandwidth can’t transfer graphics data from gpu it needs TB3 speed transfer.
Most of time manufacture install TB3 port in USB-C port becose you dont write what kind of device you use go to your manufacture website and cheack if your device have support.
