Cant wait for this to be added to the zSilver catalog. The DA Essential is a good option but this is even better at 50 dollars.

Those side grips look so good.
Hyping what turns out to be just the generic versions of existing products?

I thought we were getting a new Viper or Death Adder. Sad!
Looks good.

Yep i think everyone had higher expectations on what seems to look like just some refurbished stuff.

That's some cool refresh of your devices catalog.

Can't wait for a new Naga or something equivalent.
Please make a MMO mouse (10+ buttons) without all under the thumb.

This is really cool, reading the comparison list between this and the regular Basilisk is what helped me decide between a 2nd quartz pink Lancehead or the quartz pink Basilisk to try it out. I went with the Basilisk, we shall see how it goes! (not this mouse specifically, but the comparisons really did help, plus this specific version wasn't pink. lol)

I can't notice differences... What changed?

Something is telling me that this may be my next mouse. As for the size that's my concern I have bigger hands, I wear XL gloves and they can be snug. Anyone with this have an opinion on how the size would be for my larger hands. Is this a smaller mouse, standard or of the larger form mouse. I can do ok with a normal sized mouse but can't keep the smaller ones under control, LOL they tend to fly across the room.

  • 1 dpi button, instead of 2
  • different grip style (IMO looks better, than in original Basilisk)
  • different sensor (probably an Avago s3988 sensor, instead of Pixart PMW3389)
  • no Chroma in scroll wheel
  • no internal memory for storing configuration

So this one has a paddle. On the original Basilisk, it was called a clutch, right? Is it the same thing, or is there different functionality? I couldn't really tell from the video.
The original Basilisk looks and feels better.

Same thing, different name, but in Basilisk Essential it's only in one size.

One thing that I found for Basilisk Essential:
Is the Rubber Thumb Cap on the Razer Basilisk Essential removable?
Yes, the rubber thump cap on the Basilisk Essential is removable.
