ok so like a lot of people i had an issue with my mic in chat. spent a lot of time changing settings and forcing people in discord to be guinea pigs. these are the settings i found got rid of echo like in a hallway and to make it well, work.

synapse works fine. as long as you dont get too far and it does the weird reconnect thing
i have mic volume 100% no enhancements side note works fine now. mic sens is auto
headset earphone in manage audio devices set default communication device
    headphones set default device
headset microphone in recording set razer nari chat default device, and in proporties its set 1 channel 16 bit 48000 hz dvd quality
for some reason input device on discord is default, and output selected headphones razer nari ultimate - game, voice active, auto input sensitivity selected, and i have echo cancellation, noise suppression, and automatic gain control on. also probably doesnt matter but enable quality of service high packet priority is also enabled. hope this helps

i forgot to add. thx spatial audio when in chat active seems to do weird things currently in game or listening to music when someone else is talking. i turned it off for now while doing regular chat and listening to music at the same time. haptic intensity normally set to 20 so when i talk they dont hear what im listening to. Also default all on discord voice settings seems to work fine now but still having an issue isolating sound from what im listening to when i talk

I had same problems due to haptics. When u turn off it, no one hears what u listening. This must be solved, why we spend 50 bucks more, if we could not use this feature when we are in discord ?

Try to disable verything in mic tab then go to windows sound record devices change the bitrate mic to dvd and try it again. On default you will have the worst record quality as default.

I am wondering if this still works since they came out with the new software, Also everyone else is having problems with their Razer Nari (Family) just need to know if you still have the microphone operational and that windows 10 detects the outgoing sound for the mic.

having the same problem here, i had it working until today, new update just mess with the ones that where working.
only way i can see mic hardware still working is throw synapse under the option sidenote on, other wise windows not detecting it. I guess i'm gonna go for a refund and for for another product from a more reliably company.
(talked with tech support is just a waste of time...)

Try to remove headset from device menager and unplug it then reboot pc and plug back this will reinstall windows driver for this device.

I have tried everything, windows drivers seems to be ok, try them in a different pc and still mic don't detected by windows, actually drivers are old, they just update synapse but the drivers are the same, so I dont know what razer did, ppl having problems with the mic since the product came out anyways. I dont know why this discussion is called fixed, since for me paying 150 for a product that i can not use on his 100% meaning i can change the settings in a way i like it to be in order for me to use it instead of setting the bloody hardware in a specific way in order to make it more or less functional.

but anyways my case is worst i guess than the OP here, at least his mic works, so weird no seeing any tech guys from razer in the forums rather than to ask for your order number and give you a refund or exchange the product on your own cost

From your post i can only assume this not a softwere issue if you your mic on headset is not detect on few other devices. In this case i will tell to replace or send to warranty this can be a hardwere issue.

connected with jack on phone mic works perfectly in synapse with the option sidetone on i can hear my voice from the mic, so mic is working, is software that makes windows not to detect the device or mute it in a way.

    ty for the reply tho

Create new profile with default settings dont change anything there open sound device menager and windows app to record sound activate micro on headset or in synapse and cheack if something is recording and bar on headset on sound device maner windows is running green bars.

hello everyone since the last update(today) i have the same problem,my microphone doesnt work on anything (like overwatch steam bnet etc) and it has worked perfectly yesterday.

i have done the synapse update , my drivers are ok....i dont understand.
when i use the local effect mode on synapse i can hear myself perfectly,my mic is detected by w10 and the green bar grown when i speak on the sound panel.on games my setting are all in default but nothing is recording.....

(sorry for my english, i'm french)

Try to select headset microphone as default device in sound record in games or apps. In overwatch you can do this by going to battle.net settings then audio settings. Also Cheack if your microphone dont change the on/off status when you open game on tip on microphone will be red light if it's off.

Some time when you update might be a profile issue becose of corruption this is why when you create new one you use a new file without corruption :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Some Times also windows have a issue with priority what device should work as default in this time :)

Side buttons are only for games or apps that have own volume level but some time they change the volume/mic level in windows. Look at windows device mixer what volume of mic is set.

what you mean by windows device mixer?
under the open volume mixer only shows thing to get audio out, but mic is different input and any ways i have 2 more mics connected that even if they don't get set as default you see the green bars going up, but not in the nari mic even if you put it as default, as far i have seen and try, looks there is a problem whit the gain input the mic gets i don't know if the problem is on windows, synapse or in the headset but the worst is not seeing anyone from razer saying anything to us the customers on their own forums.

first few minutes of video show you where and how to adjust volume on windows devices. Cheack there if you have the max volume of microphone.

yea checked those all set to max, I returning the unit anyways and buy another brand is just a shame since i like the looks and they actually sound really good on top of that i don't even use the mic on the headset but is just annoying paying 150 pounds and having them not working after couple weeks.
