Tartarus Thumbwheel Sticking Issue

Hi,

I've been evaluating Tartarus for high-end gaming, but am finding a persistent thumbwheel direction-sticking issue. I've gone through a variety of the posts - here and on reddit (e.g. change enable turbo, rebinding thumbstick, etc...) - but the issue persists. This might be fine for casual and semi-hardcore gaming, but is this product used in high-end or professional esports? It seems this issue has not been resolved - it certainly persists for me. So, an interesting platform for casual - but unless i'm missing an update, patch, or fix - don't see how this is viable for high-end gaming. Are their e-sports teams using this? I'm also concerned about profiles periodically dropping - and it seems most updates to synapse require a reboot of the system - difficult to do when you are racing the clock. I do like the ergonomics and potential to improve performance with the compact form factor and macro-programming - but this is all moot with a non-starter of the thumbwheel periodically sticking on input. Understandable, somewhat, if the tartarus was designed for casual rather than high-end gaming wherein someone can just adapt playstyle to reinput direction - but not feasible in high-end content.

Thoughts? Advice? FIxes?

This seems to happen with the D-pad especially which leads to you unintentionally running off cliffs etc. To fix the sensitivity of the thumb pad I removed the pad which with ease just pops off then using EPO foam I just made an insert. It was trial and error to start with to find the best material that offered the resistance I was seeking then of course experimenting with thickness. Made it to fit inside the hat pad then simply pushed back on until it locked into it's housing.

Thanks for the insight. Appreciate the MacGyver solution! 🙂
Wanted to know if you folks had any recommended setups for Black Ops Cold War, or just FPS games in general.
I just got my Tartarus v2 last week after my side buttons started to fail in my 10yr old Nostromo.

Day one with the Tartarus I was getting the sticking key issue but I trued the above with the “Enable Turbo” and it seems to have worked for me so far. Seems its a software issue for me and not a hardware issue. Fingers crossed I get 10 yrs out of this Tartarus.
