Why hasn't razer fixed the basilisk v3 issues? | Razer Insider

If you do a quick search you will find nearly a hundred different posts and comments detailing issues with this mouse! (even more including reddit). How has Razer gotten away with not doing anything about this, especially when it is apparent the issue is with their firmware and software updates. If you buy a product from a company, and they push an update that breaks your device, are they not required to fix it? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?!?!?!?!?

I’ve linked some threads below so you can see what I’m talking about, they must know about this right!? RMA won’t fix a thing if it’s their fault these mice are breaking! I feel like I’m losing my mind, is there any way to make Razer give us an answer!!! Please help bring this issue to their attention if you can.

very interesting, is what you are facing exactly the same as what was described in the links? Cause I was facing the exact same thing. And I take care of my devices very well. It almost seemed like some kind of planned obsolescence.

Because Razer dont gives a f about their customers, they only want make money selling garbage overpriced product that they unable to maintain, im really upset about razer support and Razer at all 


+1 Actually razer’s support f**ed up my mouse with newest firmware and nothing will change. It’s good mouse but won’t work, no clue why. Scroll and lifting up mouse causes problems.


i feel sick finding all these years-old threads now that i am facing the same issue. i’m so sad for everyone dealing with this. my basilisk v3 is reconnecting every second and completely useless. several hours of troubleshooting with “maybe this will work”-type responses from razer, but nothing. has anyone solved this yet?

No issue with the wheel or lifting. Only that it reconnects every 1-1.5 seconds.

No issue with the wheel or lifting. Only that it reconnects every 1-1.5 seconds.

Oh, i see. They’ve added new problem.

If you are out of warranty, I recommend getting a better mouse, like something from Logitech/Pulsar etc.

As for the current problem - if it's not a wireless mouse, it's worth asking on reddit, the - razer subforum, and - the mouse subforum, there are usually solutions there. It could be a cable problem, it could be a driver problem, unfortunately I don't know. You can check if it works the same on other devices.


First and last product I bought from razor. I literally restarted my computer today and it stopped working entirely. No leds on the red light from the sensor is on, computer does not even recognize the mouse much less their useless software.

Check on other devices, if doesn’t respond it’s probably dead. :(

and Razer Support just asking  same questions  repeatedly
