Android 9 Pie
With the recent release of Android 9 Pie, I was wondering if there was any official news on if the Razer Phone was going to be getting that release.

Software updates for this phone is a complete joke, we should have had better road map of updates.
I would assume so, the phone is not even one years old. Regarding the Beta, last time they had a Beta for a few weeks before 8.1 rolled out. But iirc you had to wipe your data, hopefully they will have a better Beta program this time around if they have one.
Android Pie was released today. I hope we get this for our Razer Phone.
I would love some response from razer people to give us time frame

The Razer Phone 2 is unconventional and that's exactly why I love it. If you are looking for a copy cat phone that's been done over and over again, then this is not the phone for you. You would be better off with a Samsung or Pixel phone. I use my Razer Phone 2 as my daily driver and overall I am satisfied. My wife on the other hand looks at my phone and doesn't understand why I love it so much so it all depends on your perspective.
My GF is the same she doesn't see why I like the phone due to the asthetics but I love it and since the RP1 I haven't moved on to another brand. Razer listened to all the feedback about the first one and made the 2nd so much better.
As a message to everyone else - I'm gathering your feedback and passing it on but try to cut down on the language a little bit. I know it can be annoying not knowing what's going on I honestly do and im fighting for you as much as possible.
However if you ever have any issues/personal feedback reach out to me via PM and I'll be more than happy to help or pass on the feedback.

That build number indicates that it more than likely is a singtel model yes. You can flash the OTA file (doesnt void warranty) to go to the proper unlocked builds if you wish LINK
You know what, I took a leap of faith and got the OTA image, side loaded it via Recovery mode...
all the while praying that it will go smoothly...
And it sure did went smoothly.
My unit is now updated to Pie. #rejoice

So there is a post in another thread (/razer-phone-with-bluetooth-car-audio.30133/page-8) where someone had a reply from support stating that the BT issue with 8.1 MR1 will only be fixed with a roll out of Pie.
It doesn't say when that's going to happen, just hints that it will. That's not so unusual as I find Razer Phone support big on lip service but small on action. However bear in mind that Oreo 8.0 was released August 2017 but Razer didn't release it until April 2018 (8.1 MR0).
In otherwords I'd be surprised if it rolled out this calendar year.
And even more surprised if I'm still using the phone when it does due to their apparent lack of concern over fixing the 8.1 MR1 BT issues (many people have been without a properly functional BT since May).

Whats cralpc or shit about it? I know the updates are slow but i love the phone overall. It's got a great display, great speakers and a decent battery life.. i don't have anything to complain about.. i love the stock android feel..

I really wish Razer was more informative about what's coming down the pipe in terms of software updates for the Phone. I'd rather them not die like Microsoft abandoning my Windows phone more recently.

Depends on the type of street cred, if you're the guy that walks down your street helping your neighbors out, then you're more than an adult, you're a saint. But if you're walking down the street showing everybody that you're a wanna be gangsta toten a pole, you're beyond childish and will probably never become an adult because you won't live long enough
