o_ONever in my life have I heard of that LMFAO, you're definitely gonna have to show some proof on that

Look up any update from an Android vendor. Even Google do it with the pixels but they just added a feature to push the update to your phone not that long ago.

Some vendors do it by region some do it by %

"Finally, with all of that out of the way they can start rolling the update out to the users. This is normally done gradually while the team sits back and checks logs for any type of critical error during the update process."

I haven't received update either in Sweden

Good to know that I'm not the only one

I wrote to razer and this was their reply

Hi Sim,

To assist you further, are you referring to the android Pie update?

If yes, we have rolled out the update. You can now check it on your phone settings.

All the best,

Chester

PS. Razer just reduced their prices for the razer phone 2 by $350 australian

Am I the only who has dark symbols for click, battery, etc?
Is there a way to fix this? Because I can't use a dark wallpaper...

Check your Nova Settings.

1. Open Nova Settings (app in the app drawer; can also be accessed by a two finger swipe up if that gesture is enabled)
2. Go to "Look & feel"
3. Under "Notification bar", there will be an option for "Dark icons"

Actually this Box ist unchecked anderen actually the Icons are dark only on the Lockscreen and not on the homescreen.

Do they mean that the update will be released later or will never be released?

They said it will be late
I will say this: getting unlocked phones is (usually) the best option. In most cases, they get the fastest support from the manufacturer, since they don't have to go through any carrier approval process, or are forced to include any carrier bloatware (I don't know if the ATT&T or Three branded versions of the RP2 include bloat, but my history has shown this is likely).

To give you an idea of my history with Android, the phones I've owned were Motorola Droid 2 (Verizon), Motorola Droid 4 (Verizon), Moto X (unlocked), Moto X 3rd gen (unlocked), LG G6 (T-Mobile), and now the Razer Phone 2 (unlocked).

The three unlocked phones I owned either received updates faster than their carrier-branded variants, or received support longer (Motorola is somehat infamous for having dropped update support entirely for some carrier-branded phones). The Verizon- and T-Mobile-branded phones had extra software included that couldn't be uninstalled (well, not without root, that is).

The only real downside to buying an unlocked phone is the cost. Carriers will often allow you to pay off the phone over several months, whereas financing might not always be an option with unlocked devices. Not to mention, carriers are quick to put Android phones on sale (for example, that LG G6 was on a buy1get1free deal with a family member).

But, as long as the unlocked model fully supports your carrier's bands (in my case, yes, the RP2 supports all of T-Mobile's bands, which was the biggest deciding factor for getting it over Asus's ROG Phone)? I say go unlocked. You know, as long as you can afford the cost.
When will razer phone 1 update be out

So have we heard of any news regarding the Razer Phone getting Pie?

No. I guess not for some time. They are in deep shit :frown_:
Just wanted to let everyone know that I checked for an update on my Razer Phone 1 and no juice.

It looks like you're using the phone on Singtel? If so yeah the update isnt available for you yet. However you can sideload it using the OTA link and using adb if you wish.

I got my device last year in Nov 18 via a parallel importer. Immediately after I started the device, the update came in at 650MB.

Can you confirm if its a Singtel unit?
Rox598
That build number indicates that it more than likely is a singtel model yes. You can flash the OTA file (doesnt void warranty) to go to the proper unlocked builds if you wish LINK

Thanks for your quick reply. Much appreciated. But considering that its a Singtel model, I'll give it a wait for the Pie update to be push out.

How do you know it's Singtel model by looking at build number. How does THREE build number look like?

Three build numbers have "CHK" in them so that's easy to tell.

SIngtel however are the only ones with the build number ending in 1136

Please give us information on razer phone 1 pie please

By the time it is updated I’d probably have changed phones. Terrible overall support for it 😕
Yeah probably
IF this is going to happen, it would be nice to see the Razer work with google so we can opt-in for Beta as we wait for the final release on the Razer Phone.
You guys won't believe it but, I checked for an update on my Razer 1 and guess what?

No Pie.
Well...I checked for an update on my OG Razer.

No sauce.

Sad

It's not sad, just disgrace! After contracts are finished they lost leftover customers. Myself is one of them
