Android 9 Pie
With the recent release of Android 9 Pie, I was wondering if there was any official news on if the Razer Phone was going to be getting that release.

Hey guys please head to the official thread so I can keep track of things there 
After try some other game, Pokemon Go and Azur Lane also have problem launching.
The sympthom is that only black screen while music and other things loading, you can even hearing click sound in the background (But you cannot see them.)
Also, after try changing apps or go to homescreen, phone struggle to react and nearly everytime crash.

Defenitely wait for forum comments since I got black screen when changing apps, opening apps and screen lock.

Just upgraded to Android 9. Black screen with jittery sound when launching games in full screen mode. Anyone else has this issue?

Yeah it's the only comment I have seen. I didn't even see any official statement on any of razer's social media accounts or on here.

Love my Razer Phone, had it since pretty much launch day.
The firmware support has been absolutely abysmal. Such a shame for a solid well performing phone.
If Razer got their act together, posted in these forums and gave proper updates (and commented on when regular updates are to be expected) I'd buy a Razer Phone 3 (if it ever exists).

Nothing as of yet but if I find out anything ill make sure you all know.
I couldn't edit or delete my other post. This forum should maybe work on some of them buttons. If I click edit, it should just work.

All OS producing companies are announcing their upcoming products, even with 100k customers. And Razer?
After all how can you defend Razer I can't get it. I know people can be blinded from fanaticism but not on that level except Apple fan legions
You know I mean public as in official post on here/social media and not just a comment on on a thread on Reddit. They'll say more about it when they have concrete information.
Better to do that than to post when they expect it to roll out just to be either turned down by carriers for some odd reason and thus delay the whole thing and anger even more people.
Software is a very difficult thing to do. Hell look at Asus and the ROG even though they have a big set of software engineers at their disposal and it's not supposed to get Pie till Q3. OnePlus at the begining had a lot off issues too that's why they stopped revealing things way ahead of time officially.
I've personally sent so much feedback on to Razer showing comments, threads etc and pushing for you guys every step I can cause i know these devices deserve better and so do you all and I will not stop doing that.
Pie is only the beginning I'm fighting for constant security updates also.

Why publicly make a big post about it when you don't have a concrete date? Software delays happen. Carriers not accepting them, last minute bugs deemed too hazardous to make the cut etc.
Razer will post about when they're sure about a date im sure of it. They've already been burned announcing software updates that carriers have then turned down.

actually, on release, the price for what you got hardware wise wasn't bad, it's company communication and software that was horrid. The upcoming update (if it doesn't disappear) will determine if I keep my phone any longer or finally move on.

It's shows how amateurs they are in marketing or don't give a damn about their actual customers. They wrote their because their sales went down and reputation as well and to save somehow quicker they wen for bigger platform but not for their actual loyal customers.
