I hope RP1 is also on the list.
I think RP1 and RP2 are quite similar. The only difference is the back camera. I'm wondering maybe it worth a try to buy it and manually cut the hole (or just ignore the back camera).
Would there be any plan to support RP1 in the future?

Got some testing to do! Arrived 2 days ahead of schedule, Nice!

I'm a RP1 user and I would like to see how much I could DIY to make it works for me.
I really think they should support more phones from beginning.

Sounds like a job for a 3d printer....

For a case DIY, I am going to use an inexpensive silicone RP2 case(Orzly Brand) and the included Samsung Note 9 as a donor. Length wise its spot on. I thought about using a TUDIA case but its a little to long to fit. I'll Dremel/cut off the sides and mod the back for the camera opening and logo cut out.

Update: I was able to get the case cut and started the cleanup/sanding process. So far the fit is good and is a pretty easy case hack to make an everyday carry case controller ready.

It can't be used as daily case anyway. For RP1, as I see the phone would just drop from the case when facing down. As NK.33 mentioned, it doesn't work well with RP2 either, so not a lose for RP1. Meanwhile, if it can't be used as daily case, it's not a issue for camera lenses since you don't need that when playing the game. I don't see charging port has different placement, but you can't use it while playing game anyway.
In general, no DIY is needed specifically for RP1 since RP2 case is already bad enough... I have some other issues with Junglecat so far and I may want to post that later. Hold the idea of DIY unless I could solve other issues first.

Contrary to my initial post of not being able to use it as a day to day case - I have been using it as a day to day case for over a week now and its fine. Downside is there is no cut out for the logo lighting - however i mainly have this tured off these days anyway as it just drains the battery unnecessarily ...

upside is i just need to carry the 2 little controllers with me which are so nice and small and i have gaming everywhre.

I use Moonlight & Nvidia Gamestream to stream all my PC games to the phone from anywhere in the world and it works flawlessly. Playing Borderlands 3 on my RP2 - happy days!!!!
They really need to release a sturdier case for this set. I just got my junglecat yesterday. Replace my 10 dollar clear cheap case with the junglecat case. The clear case is cheap but covers the front edges of the phone. Ive dropped my phone in the parking lot at least a dozen times with absolutely no damage to the phone. Today I dropped it and it cracked my clear glass screen protector and visibly dinged the top of the grill on the front of the phone. Very disappointed with this case. You have made better cases before for this very phone. How about putting the Junglecat mount on something like those.

i am with you on this man - if they are going to release soemthing like this and charge so much, they should have made sure the case was good enought to be used as an everyday case otherwise whats the point man...

...nevertheless i use it as an every day case now anyway because if i didnt there wouldbe no point in buying this thing

I use the JungleCat daily but will definitely be looking to add the Kishi as soon as its released.

Don't want RP2. I love my green metallic RP1. But no support! Very very sad :frown_:

few differences? are you kidding?

1) The screen on the RP1 can hardly be seen in sunshine - the RP2 is so much brighter - i think almost double!!

2) wireless charging - this is not a deal-breaker but still important

3) water proof - RP2 is waterproof - just like all the other phones in 2018 were...

4) Chroma logo lighting - One of Razers signature things- this is also important as it can be used for notifications as well

5) The camera - jesus the camera on the RP1 is garbage man - the RP2 camera aint the best but its so much better than the RP1

6) Bluetooth 5.0 not 4.0 like RP1

There we have 6 MASSIVE differences between RP1 and RP2 - perhaps you were not aware of these differences and now you are.....i think now you will want the RP2 LOL

1) I have enough brightness from rp1
2) I don't need it
3) It's good, yes, but not enough for buy new phone
4) Don't like logo ligtning. I love full covered cases, without logo.
5) For me not much different. Enough RP1 with googlecam
6) Still no reason to change old to new

But my question is why there is no support? The fact that the old phone is a beta version is not an answer
So mine arrived yesterday - aint had much of a chance to try em out - this busy life we lead...

however a couple of things annoying:

1) Cant charge your phone while playing games with the controllers. It strikes me that for such a heavy price tag i think the case should have included a USB C connection to the phone so that the right controller had some sort of physicall input to the phone - the benefit of this would be two-fold - a) it would be able to connect to the phone without bluetooth and b) we could charge the phone THROUGH the USB C case connection

2) The case isnt that good and doesnt serv well as an every-day case - which means it loses portability -you will have to carry the case and the 2 controllers with you if you dont want to use the case it comes with as an every-day case. One thing i noticed is the case it comes with is nowhere near as good as the carbon case i have which has a lip to protect the phone - this has no lip.

3) No hole for the RP2 chroma logo light to shine through - strikes me as an obvious oversight - cant believe they left this out

I will report back with more info the more i use it
OK....after a day with this thing on a note 9...here are some impressions...

It's big....and turn it off when Yer not using it. Battery life may be a gazillion hours...but it will continually turn Your phone screen on...and phone life is not a gazillion hours.

It feels wonderful. The precision of the buttons. The clickiness.....the tactile feel...5 stars.

Does it work with the game You're sick of controlling by touching the screen? Could be....but is possible that it might not. Exiled Kingdom works....Driving games suddenly have become a fuckin' joy....but Yer game may not.

Why only cases for three phones? (and, Yes....I realize when snapped to the little brick it comes with it is a beautiful, compact, low latency controller...) Why? Why not a spreader model? When I get rid of this Note 9, I'm gonna' have to pay to get a 3D printed case for this. Bums me out the thought that went in to this lovely toy. I wonder who greenlit this thing.
.....oh...and if You're in to emulators...where You can map the controls....this thing is stellar....provided You have one of the three fuckin' phones. 😕

looks cool. What about people who want to play mobile how it was meant to be played (no controller). maybe just make some grips with a cooler for comfort and long gaming sessions.

Christ. I don't know. I just don't have to play dungeon crawlers, GTA, or real driving games poorly....to the folks who want a more comfortable/acurate way to rub their fingers across the screen.....I have no idea what to tell You other than this ain't it.....but these joysticks on 70 hour games feel cool.

Been using the JungleCat on some game streaming betas over the past few weeks. Right now hands down this controller matched up with XCloud is some serious Switch competition.
Played Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, Sniper Elite 4, Ace Combat 4 and Gears 5 in the XCloud. All the games looked stunning on the RP2 and performed with absolutely no lag on my WiFi.

NK.33
one more thing i noticed - even with the razer Gamepad app installed there is no way to tell how much battery is left on these things until they start flashing red or whatever - then its probably to late - or u are in a swamp somewhere with not usb!!

Yeah there is a battery gauge for the controllers buried in there they just have a really piss-poor way to get to it that is not intuitive at all.
Ok, I dig it. The Asus ROG 2 is its own level of insanity. Razer will either have to knock it out of the park with the RP3 or bow out of the mobile game.

I still feel really good with my RP2 though. Why? Because I only paid $349 for it new. Then I played enough cortex mobile to get a discount on my Junglecat, and I'm gaming happy as all get out for less than half of buying just the ROG 2 by itself.

Asus is all in with their docks, I see. that. It makes me sad that they abandoned project linda because that would have been a no-brainer purchase for me. More for my work/productivity than gaming although with steamlink/moonlight it still wouldn't be out of the question. I have played steam games via my phone connected to an HDMI display and mouse/keyboard just to try it, works pretty decently.

As long as they are still selling the RP2s at $349/$399, they are the best value in mobile gaming I'd say. If I actually had to pay the full $799 it would be a little bit tougher choice.

I appreciate that the RP2 isn't as wild in the styling department as the ROG 2, and I like that the Junglecat is a bit more portable than Asus's version. I've been cruising around with my Junglecat in my coat pocket, slap it on and play a little here and there as the Wife and I drive around doing errands etc. We were hanging out with two other people on Sunday and all four of us where playing phone games while killing time before going to see a movie, I was the only one with the benefit of controllers AND my setup cost less than anybody else's at the table.

ROG 2 may be the biggest beast in the land currently but I'm good with my RP2+Junglecat, I still have money in my pocket and happier than heck.

Ok I did remember one more minor complaint though, I'm in the same boat as the others who wish the case had more protective lip/edge as that does seem too flush and insufficient to actually protect the screen or the rear camera lens. I will add to that another vote for the obvious: why the heck did they cover up our chroma logo??? Furthermore, why is it not designed to help dissipate gaming heat?? There should be hundreds of holes or thin slots in the back to vent heat!

Yeah, even people WITH supported phones who get cases right out of the box are gonna need 3D printed cases pretty fast. Something that doesn't cover chroma, provides real protection, and vents heat. I'll throw on my wish list, a cover for the rear lens. I find myself getting fingerprints on it when playing games now.
I'm about to return this thing. The case is horrible. My phone was mint 2 days ago before I got this thing. Its slippery compared to every other case I've had. In two days I've dropped it twice. It offers no protection on the front or edges. Now I got dings around the edge of the phone and broke another glass cover.

Razer you need to make a REAL case to attach these controllers too. I hate this one. If I'm gonna have to keep the case with the controllers in a separate case and use another case to protect my phone then this is pointless. I am so disappointed in this part of the product.

If you plan to use this case every day , DON'T.

Bro - you are a brave man - if i whipped out my phone and started gaming while running errands with the missus.....she would rinse me man!

you mean with a 3d printer? I havent got one...

if you can send me the plan for that one i can send it off to get 3d printed...

No, I used a silicone RP2 case and one of the included Samsung cases to build this one; post #36 in this thread for reference.
I wanted to love the case soo bad. I thought I finally found a controller solutions for my android gaming woes. This case ended up not being it. I purchased the case from amazon at the of 100 bux. I am returning the case in a mere two days because there was not much thought put into the phones case design. It offers no protection to the phone whatsoever. My note 9 ended up with a broken glass protector because the case slipped out of my hand while trying to attach the controller. After that, the already attached controller no longer locked onto the case. For 100 dollars I think the case needs to be more substantial than the Tyco grade plastic shell that is included. Honestly I am not surprised with all the crit and comments we have not seen a comment made by a Razer rep at all. Why so limited on the support is something that baffles me. I honestly can only beleive this was just an open test of beta hardware like stated before...
Again, I wanted to love the case...

It seems you aren’t alone in the situation. Fortunately there’s probably lots of people who would take your jungle cat off your hands if you decide to switch over to the Kishi. I hope you are still enjoying your jungle cat, at least.

yes the Junglecat works very well....there doesnt seem to be any lag with it either (not that i notice) and i like how small and compact it is.

To me there would not be much reason to buy this new one (Kishi) ATM ...however i do like the fact they have moved the right analogue down as thats where i like it (usually play with Xbox One controller).

I dont think the Kishi looks very "Razery" either....just looks like a generic universal controller you can find all over Amazon...I think the buttons need to be more Razer-esque

PSA. DO NOT use junglecat gamepad app with octopus plugin! Not even with it simply installed!

Octopus plugin gets YOU BANNED like a redheaded step child. I just got banned from cod mobile for launching it from gamepad app. ONLY ONCE. FOR ONE MATCH.

Nvidia shield overlay/controller mapper DOES NOT GET YOU BANNED.
worldRazzmicBerrybest167
I do have the shield k1 (rooted) but I think the mapping thing is built in. I can look around inside it for you, though.

Also,
Has ANYONE successfully connected this junglecat controller to windows PC and used it to play games? (Not through Xbox app, just regularly)
None of my games "sees" it.
It connects to Bluetooth but that's it. I also tried using x360ce, but no profiles available for it.
Chat support was NO help. They said connect it to phone then phone to PC using cable with PC Bluetooth on.
Uh, that didn't work! And honestly didn't make sense.
Support couldn't even tell me if this is a directinput or xinput device.

Any clear help is appreciated!!! Especially since this is advertised as working on mobile AND PC.
(WIN 10)
Games tried were: Control, Metro Exodus and Batman Arkham City.

Hi Mate, the only windows device i have that recognises it via bluetooth as a controller is my Razer Blade Stealth - having said that none of the games pick it up. Moonlight game streaming does not pick it up and also i cant map all the buttons either - even if i use the SDL2 gamepad tool

When i connect it via cable nothing happens - i think this is for charging only.

If anyone else has got this to work on windows please help and detail how....many thanks
