About the Paid to Play Suspension.

We created Paid to Play as an opportunity for gamers to get rewarded, just by gaming. Since the program’s launch, over 1B zSilver has been exchanged and over 35,000 rewards redeemed by our fans.

We’re always listening to the community, and everyone’s feedback is important to us. With an increasing amount of negative feedback on the Paid to Play program, we’re going to be taking a hard look into the overall program and mechanics to do right for you and all the gamers who participated. While we take time to develop ways to make it rewarding and beneficial for all, we will suspend the Paid to Play program, effective March 1, 2018. In the event that we are unable to provide a satisfactory solution, the program will be suspended indefinitely.

Making Razer zSilver the rewards credits for gamers has always been our goal, and we’re constantly working on ways to introduce more rewards to earn zSilver. With over 50 rewards on the Razer zSilver catalog, kindly note that rewards will always be on a first-come, first-served, while stocks last basis.

If you’re a step away from redeeming your next Razer reward, here are other ways to earn zSilver:

• Using Razer zGold to pay for your gaming purchases
• Being an active contributor on Razer Insider
• Logging in daily on Razer Cortex
• Syncing your Steam account with Cortex: Deals
• Subscribing to Cortex: Deals newsletters and more to be introduced soon

We thank you for supporting Paid to Play, and welcome all feedback and suggestions on this thread. Should you have any other questions about Paid to Play, please write in to Razer Support or refer to our FAQs here.

I don't see how the negative reviews out-weighed the positive??? "Majority" of the community liked the P2P program so it really doesn't seem right that it is being stopped indefinitely... Seems to me like something else is of the cause?
i miss the P2P feature, it was fun while it lasted and got some good rewards out of it too.
I was able to redeem a chroma keyboard (dunno if it's better than my good ole black widow without shiny lights)
This keyboard has been for like 7 years with me now, i absolutely love it, but need a shiny one to play at night

The P2P system was absolutely awesome
I mean, getting free stuff just for playing vidya? yikes!
Lets help one another rake up more zsilver. Anyone up for swapping follows?
Follow me and I'll follow back, will try to do so within 24 hours.

We all miss the P2P feature T_T
I hope it returns even if the trolls don't like it. perhaps razer should only let people who bought razer devices with really money participate if it is a profit issue.

Let's admit, even trolls would like it to come back. I mean how else can they earn zSilver quickly?

I think it might be a profit issue. Some people could get free keyboards for playing games. They could sell these brand new keyboards for a few bucks off on sites like EBay taking away from razer profits. I think they could solve this problem by letting people who bought something, like a keyboard, from a store above a certain price. That way, people couldn't buy something like a mousepad and start earning zSilver. This would help razer profits and keep P2P as an incentive to buy a razer product.

Honest question: Why couldn't Min tell us if it's a profit issue? I hate to think that it's actually possible, I think Razer is a good company and I'd love to support it hard but I'm so broke a mouse pad is all I could do.

Maybe its a PR reason. BTW I'm also broke but I saved up for a balckwidow keyboard after about a year.

When I'm through with my constant expenses, perhaps I'll do something similar.
If you were a shareholder and the company you've invested in is giving away products for free, how would you feel? 😃

You have a point there. The suspension of the program is still sad though. 😭
In the Cortex apps, is League of Legends included?
I just learned about this a while ago, wondering why I was not receiving zsilver for Hearthstone. Now I'm like, how do I get them gud stuff now.

You can still get zSilver from logging in daily in Razer Cortex.
what's e use of logging daily for the 40 when there's yearly limit

and subscribe to newsletter and sync steam account is totally rubbish!
the newsletter and syncing is just a one time thing. 50points once and that's it!
i see this spammed to death by people and mods
you figured gamers have already done it from day one?!?!
U gotta chill out dude. I believe they might be looking at reworking the whole program. Might come back even better who knows? If u are not willing to wait you could join the raffle I think. Get a chance to score some sick loot. All the best bro

40 a day is not gonna get me far, especially if the monthly cycling expires my zsilver more than I can produce. That's like saying go mine some bitcoin, even though your electricity bill consumes more money than you can make.

You would never reach any of the limits if logging in each day for 40 zSilver were the only way you are generating it.

You would think so, right? However, there are still people who are new to the system signing up so there will always be a steady stream of users who don't know about it just, which is why it's included in every post regarding ways to obtain zSilver.

Forunately, all zSilver is valid for one year from when it was earned. So, there's still a fair time to spend it all. However, I do agree that I think if our ways to earn have been throttled then I don't think there should be an expiration date until it is determined what the new primary zSilver earner will be. Or, if it's staying like it is then just remove the expiration date entirely, but that's just my opinion. 🙂
While I understand why, It is still disappointing. But they @razer has shut down a couple things I have loved over the years. the biggest thing being Razer Comms. That was THE BEST voice program I used up to that point, and still, I would prefer to use it now. Discord is ok, especially now that I am used to it. But comms was perfect for me.
Why would someone give a negative feedback on this feature ? I don't understand...
