About the Paid to Play Suspension.

We created Paid to Play as an opportunity for gamers to get rewarded, just by gaming. Since the program’s launch, over 1B zSilver has been exchanged and over 35,000 rewards redeemed by our fans.

We’re always listening to the community, and everyone’s feedback is important to us. With an increasing amount of negative feedback on the Paid to Play program, we’re going to be taking a hard look into the overall program and mechanics to do right for you and all the gamers who participated. While we take time to develop ways to make it rewarding and beneficial for all, we will suspend the Paid to Play program, effective March 1, 2018. In the event that we are unable to provide a satisfactory solution, the program will be suspended indefinitely.

Making Razer zSilver the rewards credits for gamers has always been our goal, and we’re constantly working on ways to introduce more rewards to earn zSilver. With over 50 rewards on the Razer zSilver catalog, kindly note that rewards will always be on a first-come, first-served, while stocks last basis.

If you’re a step away from redeeming your next Razer reward, here are other ways to earn zSilver:

• Using Razer zGold to pay for your gaming purchases
• Being an active contributor on Razer Insider
• Logging in daily on Razer Cortex
• Syncing your Steam account with Cortex: Deals
• Subscribing to Cortex: Deals newsletters and more to be introduced soon

We thank you for supporting Paid to Play, and welcome all feedback and suggestions on this thread. Should you have any other questions about Paid to Play, please write in to Razer Support or refer to our FAQs here.

This is sad, I don't get why would the users of the P2P program would give any negative feedback.
I hope they bring it back soon.
Thank you for everything
well just do a little research and you'll get your answer;
We created Paid to Play primarily to allow users who don't have Razer gear a way to grind toward owning Razer gear - but I recently had an interesting message from FB on the following:

"Hi Min - I have been seeing so many complaints of Paid to Play but generally it seems to come from users who just want to get free gear and many of them just sell them on ebay anyway.

Why don't you limit it to true Razer fans who already have Razer gear (you can track via Synapse) and allow only existing customers of Razer to access Paid to Play? I'm sure you'll get a lot more positive/appreciative response?"
nooooooooooo..... why would this happen...... :"

So will the points reset or will they stay. Should i spend them now? I have 53K

Only the P2P side of things will be suspended. Whatever zSilver you have is yours until it expires. You can redeem it for rewards at any time, unless vouchers are out of stock.

Like @RazerGwynbleidd said, if you're close to redeeming a reward but you lack a couple thousand zSilvers when March 1 comes, there are some ways you can still earn zSilver until Razer could come up with a way to reward us fans that would benefit both sides.
so by 1st March, i will be 30k away from the HDK I want!!! why do people have to ruin a good thing!!!! :frown_:

I talked about a lot of improvements that You (Razer) can do to improve the system but overall I have been ignored.

Whoa there buddy, just because we don't respond doesn't mean we don't read your suggestions and take them into consideration. So here's my obligatory reply to say that... We're watching and we're listening.

But the program doesn't support a wide enough range of games.

This makes me really sad. I was saving up for a Razer BlackWidow Chroms v2 and would have the needed 220.000 ZSilver in a few days. But the prices were adjusted to 296.000, which ment 3 more month of P2P and was fine by me. Now that P2P is suspended the item i was saving up for is so far out of reach that my ZSilver will expire before i even have a chance to redeem it.
Thank You Razer for the zVault, an idea of P2P, and the opportunity to redeem my Lancehead. Without this program i wouldn't ever have it.
Pity P2P was so exploited, lack of regulations and requiremants killed it soon after it begun.
I'll keep collecting zSilver and stay green :wink_:
Keep it up Razer!

It's weird to think this way... the amount of time, electricity bill, and shipping fee just to get a reward; then sell them on eBay is crazy. I didn't do any research on how much profit could you earn by doing that but I believe it wouldn't be an excellent return on investment (ROI).

Before the increase in zSilver rewards pricing, it took at least 139 days to redeem a single Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 and now it took 195 days with the P2P program. I don't see any significant benefit in AFK gaming or fake been active on Insider actually do any benefits to the someone who is looking for profit.
It's so hard to earn zSilver now. Ever since the Paid-to-Play was suspended. Can we please bring this back together with the Mogul arena gambling?

would the community be involved in the creating process?

The community is always involved in some way. Be it through discussion on Razer Insider or through other social media platforms. The teams are always listening for feedback and over the years we've even beta tested programs through the Razer fans!

I need 28k more Zsilver for Razer Tiamat 2.2 v2, hope that I didn't collected all of that for nothing and that I would eventually redeem it... :)

I advise you wait for it and not spend your zSilver just yet. I believe Razer will come up with different way(s) of earning zSilver so you should be good. Min said so himself. It may or may not include the current P2P program but whatever it is, I'm eagerly waiting.
So, during this time, the means we will have to win zSilver will be the Insider achivement and the purchase of games on partner sites?

It's pretty sad but thank you for what you do to improve your services.
I have been using Razer Cortex for a number of years (is it possible 4 or 5 yrs). When I started I don't believe there was any kind of reward program, it was to boost my game playing on a computer which was sold as a gaming machine but which sadly stretched that description beyond strict truth into the realm of pure fantasy. Whether Cortex ever really helped, I still don't know, but I continued on faith.

At some point the nature of Cortex seemed to change. Games I had imported disappeared and could no longer be started through Cortex. A loyalty/reward program appeared. Some games earned rewards, others didn't. Some games were advertised through Cortex and other programs through which games could be purchased were linked (or could be). Anyway at that time I knew nothing about Razer hardware. Despite that i started my own path on Paid to Play. Very early I decide that whatever games earned the most points would not change my habits, I would play my games. However I did take a look at the items offered as rewards, and researched a number of Razer products, reading reviews and so forth. It seems to me the program was designed to encourage exactly that kind of activity (i.e. promote Razer products). That is a perfectly legitimate goal, but let's be realistic, no company launches a loyalty program from pure altruism. if the company sees no benefit the program won't survive long.

Eventually I had some 99,000 Zsilver. The cheapest keyboard at that time was 103,000 Zsilver. ...Then the numbers changed. I think that keyboard simply disappeared from rewards, but I had read the rules and knew you retained the right to change Rewards at any time for any reason (even no reason at all just a whim).

This reward program was, let's face it not without any problems. The note suggesting that if you had a problem collecting Zsilver, you should contact Support rather implies such a problem might be possible. In my experience it proved very possible. The first couple of times no Zsilver showed up, the problem seemed temporary. After a while I did write to support and received an answer suggest reloading the program. That did cure the problem, at least for a while. This was at first a mere annoyance, but since it happened again and again and with increasing frequency, it was becoming a serious aggravation. To add insult to injury, Cortex itself showed a little banner saying in effect 'game running. earning Zsilver', an assurance which was simply not true, as I would discover some hours later when I stopped playing to find no Zsilver at all. I read several comments in forums from players with the same problem.
I again wrote to support and was told the program was being modified (or already had been). When the same thing still happened, I contacted Support yet again. I should point out that at this stage I was beyond simply annoyed, and my view of Razer had gone from generally favorable to distinctly unfavorable. I reported the problem in great detail and included screen shots showing my FPS for a number of hours of play which included the time and date as recorded by Razer Cortex. I also pointed out that despite a litany of complaints about Zsilver not being credited no one had suggested crediting Zsilver earned.
To that I did receive a reply saying "We are not allowed to credit lost Zsilver". My thought was "How convenient, you wrote the rules and the program which doesn't work reliably. I kept my side of the bargain but you are not keeping your's".
I also received a request to send a bunch of my computer records so Support could help me. So I did send those. To my mind the ball was now in your court. However, some time later I received another reply this one saying that since they had not heard from me for some time they were closing the file. Was I supposed to complain again? I wonder will this one go in the Resolved category?

The above is given in detail (way too much I hear you say), because there is something quite disturbing in this whole debate over the end of the Paid to Play Program. We have gone from "increasing complaints" to "negativity" to "trolls/negativity". I certainly hope no one condones death threats, but there are laws which cover those and the authorities should be left to deal with them. No one likes complaints, but one can learn from them and make adjustments when they are legitimate. Or one can become defensive and circle the wagons. From where I stand I see a lot of defense and that is not at all a positive response to what happened to you.
I redeemed my razer kraken 7.1 v2 just before the price updates, and i was so happy. If i was going to sell it i wouldnt have profited from it and i was ready to grind for blackwidow X chroma. It is such a shame that the program is going to be limited or ended.

Btw, do we have to use up our ZSilver by 1st March or can we redeem even after the program has been suspended?

You do not have to use up your zSilver by March 1st, redemption of rewards will continue as normal. Keep a look out for new types of rewards and different ways to earn zSilver as we revise and rework the Paid to Play program.

From the FAQ:
There is no change to the way Razer zSilver can be redeemed for rewards. Freshly earned Razer zSilver will continue to be totalled at the end of each calendar month, and subjected to a 12-month expiration period. Whenever you redeem a reward, zSilver with the earliest expiration date will be deducted from your wallet first.

too bad that program is suspended for lot's of idiots that are bad and scam... by the way, I hope you can find a nice solution for Us all!!

That's the goal here! We're open to feedback on this so be sure to send it our way in this thread!

so closeeeee....i just need 1 more zsilver to get my BlackWidow
274 499 :frown_::mad_:

Get the daily 40 by logging in to razer cortex. You can also get a weekly 60 pts for liking 15 posts and viewing featured threads.
Damn I hope it came back asap
NebulaMask
Iirc the cost of the rewards changes based on demand. If demand goes down (which I would expect to happen over time since there is far less zsilver being earned), the cost of the rewards should as well.

I didn't mean about the cost, i mean about the quantity/quality. Now theres some cool keyboards or mouses and u can choose cause they're various types of each other , but if now its hard to get points -> less cost -> less prices??. Thats my point

Ty anyway ^^
I think if it takes more than 2-3 months to resume, we will not see it soon.
however, the suspension of razer cortex p2p I do not think it was just for the negative comments because I did not
seen so many negative comments.
Or increase the daily login earning
I just wish they'd suspend the expiration period too... Especially now zSilver is essentially on hold indefinitely, our points are gonna start expiring in a few months at a rate a few hundred times faster than we could ever replace them without buying them through zGold.
With PTP is gone and the ability to gain silver now being very limited, is there a chance that the Razer Cortex login rewards be increased...
Like from 40 to 100 daily. Or change the whole structure to login in over more days increasing maxing at a point but allowing for new higher daily value each time the max value is hit. This eventually hitting a max value.
So like currently day 7 hit 40zs per, day 8 45zs (current progression), day 14 80zs per
maxing after 3 weeks to 120 per day.

Just an idea...

Hope that PTP comes back sooner then later.
Guess I'm a bit late to the party. I am so sorry that you all are getting such a high volume of negativity when this is honestly a great program. I'm new here, but I eagerly await you bring to the community in the future. Good luck devs! :smile_:
