Your Favorite Tech

Hello Insiders! In today’s world, technology is all around us. From simply setting an alarm, to operating household lights and locks, it is used in various ways using hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of different gadgets. Today, I have a simple question; out of all the tech related gadgets and devices you have seen, or personally own, which are your favorite?. You may talk about concepts and/or in-production products, or any other neat product which is related. I will be choosing a couple of good responses for some Silver as well. I am excited to hear all of your choices, have fun!

I never thought something so simple as GPS would be available in virtually every smartphone world wide. I remember thinking dedicated GPS units are so tedious looking there is no way it will work in a mobile phone, but here we are. RIP people who bought Garmins.

Of course I really like smartphones because it is the easiest way to connect with people all around the world and made our job easier than the old days. The only downside is the battery. We always need to plug-in to power supply or power bank to recharge it. I always wonder why we still don't have built-in solar smartphone so that we can recharge our smartphone naturally without having to find power supply when we're outside. Maybe Razer can be the one to create this new innovation for smartphone ? :wink_: *Sorry for my bad english 😂

Although I use the GPS of my phone a lot, what I truly enjoy nowadays is the sync between all my devices. Especially the calendar, i have so many events that I can't remember them, so as soon as I have an appointment or a task, I put in the family agenda so we can all be alerted on time.

I don't think anyone can go by without a smartphone today. Computers in general and smart devices. It's the microprocessor in all of them really that does all the job. If I was to choose one piece of tech that has changed the world for the better I'd say without a shadow of a doubt, it's the microchip and all its implementations. Since we're talking about gadgets/devices specifically, I like my PC too much. Smartphone is a close second.

It would have to be the smartphone, as it's a device which has combined many devices into one - camera, portable gaming devices, phone, computer, and even a controller for smart devices in your home.

Desktop PC would be my choice, as there's is almost no similar one in existence. You can endlessly customize it.

My first choice would be PC alright, but IRL comes first and i always find myself looking at my phone-playing-listening to music communicate etc.The line "Do you guys not have phones?" from 2018s blizzcon rings to my mind more and more often after seeing the capabilities of an expesive phone year after year.

For me its been how the Wireless technology evolved and is still evolving to various gadgets and peripherals which we use in our daily world starting. From Routers, Mice, Keyboards, Earphones/headset to everything. And i also remember when it started launching products, there was always a latency issues which made many stick to the wired technology and now its all changing as the Wireless kicking and with much better quality transmission and no latency than the wired ones. I love the wireless peripherals which we get nowadays which allows to roam around jump up and down without a wire tangling on us. :big_grin_:

I would say 2-in-1 laptop. It can act as a PC or a tablet, or even a phone!

Touch controls, it's unbelievable to think 15 years ago we didn't have something that seems so necessary today.

my fav piece of tech is my "smart home" I can turn off/on my lights. I can lock and unlock doors. I can set the temps on my t-stat. Heck, I can even play music throughout the entire home to each room's individual "smart speaker" what a time to be alive!
