Asrock z690 Razer edition not present anymore in Synapse 3

Barrycello

Hi,

The Asrock z690 Razer edition motherboard is no longer showing in Synapse 3, making it unable to make it work with my other 16 installed razer products…

I have updated the bios, removed the RGB file and reinstalled the latest from the Asrock website but to no avail.

I'm not sure what to do about it to make Synapse pick it up, can i force detection somehow???

The new Synapse software i have given a try a few months back but does not support any motherboard yet, asking myself if they will be added soon, or that the Asrock Razer motherboard line gets skipped.

Thanks!

Not working for me as of the last Windows update. I just uninstalled the most recent updates in the Windows Update settings menu and its working properly again

I second this: has been happening to me too, but don’t remember when it started. Only really noticed myself after I updated the bios for new microcode updates. Also the rgb would stop working after I put it into sleep mode and woke it back up, not working again till a full system restart,

Seems that it happened after a Windows update here too, hopefully someone will look into it.

I do hope the Asrock motherboard range gets some attention. With a full Razer themed pc-setup, missing the RGB on the motherboard is really off, especially when using the game integrations.

As a side note, in the beta app my z690 is being shown as a “your B550 is not yet added” Not using that atm since the beta app is also limited on rotating fans and components ect but a heads up for those wanting to switch to beta to sort out the motherboard issue.

Tried to update Windows once more and ended up with my z690 not showing up in Synapse again. I used Advanced Startup settings to completely uninstall the recent quality updates and paused updates for a couple of weeks in Windows Update. Hopefully it’ll get sorted out soon and the Taichi models will be added to the New Razer Synapse.

As of 08/12/2024, there is a new BIOS update on ASRock’s website, but I have not tried it. The last Beta BIOS I used (20.03) broke the RGB all together so I’ll stay on 19.02 for the time-being.

In the Settings app go to System > Recovery. Under Recovery options, next to Advanced startup, click Restart now.

Upon reboot, click Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Uninstall Updates.

Click on Uninstall latest quality update.

Continue the prompts and reboot.

it's because of the driver - security update kb5041585
but if you delete it, the “start menu” doesn't work. has anyone experienced this?

I have just uninstalled KB5041585 and my B550 is recognized again in Synapse. Thanks for the hint!
Btw, I do not see any problems with the “start menu” after uninstalling the update.

Having the same issue with the x570

Been trying to figure this issue out for the past month now. Issue started with Windows update that screwed up my MB RGB connection to Synapse. Idk what’s at fault here, Razer, Asrock, or another garbage Windows 11 update.

Unfortunately, the Windows update KB5041585 gets installed again automatically. Then it not recognized anymore by Synapse.
Tried Synapse Beta, but the motherboards are not supported (yet) :-(

I've been corresponding with razer support. Followed they're troubleshooting... no joy. They're asking for logs now So maybe in the near future an update to synpase will fix it.

X570 have the same problem, the motherboard RGB does not show up in Studio all of a sudden.  Ever since the latest Widows update.

I have b550i personally, so it sounds like it all of them

Exactly the same problem on my z690 razer edition, after upgrading windows or motherboard frimware to the latest because of the microcode.

I'm not sure what it was, one or the other. But for sure one of the two.

Please, any news?
Is this being reviewed with the support team?

Pd: I've tried to reinstall synapse and it doesn't work.

I was told on Friday it would be at least a week for them to investigate. Plus if they do find the issue time to reprogram the update.

Hi, Z690 user here.

I tried already but my mainboard still not show in synapse after unstall kb5041585.

About the start menu system will ask to sing out to fix the problem but after sing in again the start menu still not working.

The start menu problem is a different issues.  I fixed that even with the new Widows update.  Go to the Asrock download page and install the latest update to A-Tuning software, it was just updated about a week ago.  But still have a problem with the motherboard lights frozen and not showing up on Synapse.

I'm using a Z690. After updating the Bios, it didn't detect in the synapse either. I asked support and they told me to just delete the synapse and reinstall it. But when I tried reinstalling Windows, the mainboard came back to detect it, but after restarting a few times after It doesn't detect in synapse. Now I try to switch to New Synapse and hope there will be an update in the future.

Razer got back to me. They've acknowledged the software issue and it will fix it in the next update but not time frame on said update.

Yep, just what I thought, last time they said this was was more than a year before they spit out that update.
