Changing colours of other keys when a specific key is pressed?

I recently bought a huntsmanv2 and so far I'm very happy with it.

A couple of days ago, I noticed how the colours change when "fn" is pressed to highlight the keys that can be used.

This sounded like a great idea so I tried to figure out how to do this for other keys like Ctrl, Alt or Shift (or even possibly combos of these).

This would be helpful for teaching my parents how to use simple keyboard shortcuts as well as to get a quick highlight of the useful shortcuts in various games at a glance.

Sadly I was unable to figure it out so I figured this would probably be the best place to ask (I apologize if it isn't).

Could someone perhaps point me in the right direction or tell me if it's simply impossible?
