Sadly with latest Fallout 4 update the Modloader I used broke and wasn't updated yet.
I don't want to wait until it's updated so I'm going to release Version 2.0 this evening (CET) without Fallout 4 and will bring Fallout 4 in an Update once the Modloader is updated :)

2.0 will bring a bugfix for the order of Abilitys and a GameValue if the Hero is alive.
For people who tried 1.9: How is the Dota support going?
Anything special you want?
Does it work as needed?
Future releases will have special animations for special attacks!

Hey, I've waited so much for the features in 2.0 version.
Sadly doesn't work for me the close-switch-to-synapse-profile thingy : when i close the game the keyboard remains yellow :/
EDIT: Figured out I have an outdated version of synapse, trying with newest update. Will report soon.
EDIT2: Nope, not working even with latest version 😞

I hope it will be usefull for somebody. I had a problem, when I started this app, it closed at the same moment. Idk what caused this problem but if you delete it and delete all logs about it in your PC and install it one more time. The problem will be solved

Here is Version 0.2 ready to be installed (it will remove 0.1 so can easily be installed over the other one). I'm right now giving it out in this post as a PreRelease before updating the Main post as I did many changes and it would be nice if someone can just check if it actually works. I sadly don't have another Computer with Steam + Razer SDK + Chroma Keyboard to test beside my Developer Machine.

Just a few words to the new Version and Issues:
If the Keyboard does not light up once you start GameDog something is wrong. Either the SDK is not installed, the Registry key is not set with the reg file or another Chroma App / Synapse are causing troubles and you should shut them down. The WASD Keys and some Other keys should light up per default when you first start GameDog even without CSGO being launched.

With Version 0.2 I'm checking for different Pathes in the registry. If it can't find anything it will wait until the user updates the Settings in the "settings" Tab and try again (the Reset button in Settings does not yet work!)

GameDog stores all the Settings and Assignments in %AppData%\\GameDog please don't fiddle with the files manually! You can however remove the files to restore Defaults!

To configure Assigments go to "games" and on the right menu click "Assignments". Here you can see a list of assignments. One Assignment Contains of a State to bind to (example Health), one Color and multiple Keys. Doubleclick an existing Assignment to change it or click on "New" to create a new one. You can have multiple Assignments of the same type so you can for example let one Key Fade between blue and red while another one Fades between Green and Blue (as an example).

The Color can be changed with the dropboxes beneath the big rectangle which shows the color. That's not how I want it to be in the end but it's good for now I think. I will include a Colorpicker one day. The Dropboxes are in the order Red, Green, Blue. As higher the value as more of that color is added. For example 255, 0, 0 will be red. 0, 255, 0 will be Green. 255, 126, 0 will be orange and so on.

I know the Assignment Overview is not yet very helpful as it just shows the State-Name but I will try to change that in one of the next versions to include the number of Keys and the Color. Same goes for the Color Names. But I think it's not hard to understand what the Colors mean. Especially with a bit trying it's easy to figure out. Just Save it again and the Keyboard will reload and display.

I also temporarily removed the effects such as Flash and Smoke and Burning! These will be readded later :)

All of that is cause I added a Plugin-System which allows with a little bit of knowledge of C# to write your own States soon! The Pluginsystem is not yet live but it's nearly finished.

Hi,

I’m not really working on this at the moment even so I’ve a few ideas how to continue.

Also I had to move my server cause it was way too expensive which is why the files are currently offline.

I will however move them to a new server and if done they should be back up soon.

Yes that is supposed to happen for Dota 2 sadly.
The API that sends Data to GameDog kicks in for Dota as soon as the main game starts.
It seems like that the "Main Menu" itself is not intializing the main game engine together with the "Data sending".
It's on Valves end to "fix" this but I don't think they actually count that as a bug.

I'm not 100% sure when the API in Dota decides to be "in menu" but the "Menu Color" should for example kick in between matches I think.

The Razor Ripple Effect is a special Hero effect for the "Razor" Hero which causes a Ripple on the keyboard when a spell is casted (more like a gimmick).

What do you mean with "there shouldn't be any effects when typing"?

Sorry for my late response.
Here is a new Version which should not crash anymore.

I fixed many potentional crashes. Optimized the Steam search and in Settings you can now manually set the Path to CS:GO (where the csgo.exe is placed) (copy and paste for now, sorry, no Explorer Browser to search for it yet). There is no need to set the SteamPath in settings for now only make sure the CSGOPath is set correctly.

As a little gimmik I also added a new StateEvent called "Kill Counter" where you can define Keys that start glowing depending on how many people you killed in the current round! The default is set to the Macro Keys which I like very much. For now sadly there is no way to set an Order for the Keys but I will add this.

Will add this Version to the MainPost if I get good feedback 🙂 If something crashes please send me the %AppData%\\GameDog\\GameDog.log via http://pastebin.com over the Conversations here.

Does GameDog or Synapse have to be running for these to work?

GameDog needs to be running. Synapse isn't needed to run. Until a while ago it was even advised to turn synapse off as it might have caused troubles in some cases.

With a 32bit installation you either have the choice to wait until I fixed it and release it later this day, or you can go to your Dota folder:
Then go to the "game" folder then "bin".
In there there should be only a win32 Folder.
Copy and paste that folder and rename the copy to "win64".
Then GameDog should recognize it correctly.

My main problem is the Dota 2 Option is not showing up.


But I think I can wait for the release of the 32Bit Gamedog. 🙂 Thanks bro!

Any kind of error directly or in eventviewer? Try downloading again. Seems like I forgot to integrate the config file. That might have cause issues if there is none available yet....Sorry

EDIT: Did you try to just restart your computer?

Solution : Uninstall SDK only , then reinstall SDK,
now when i open gamedog , my chroma show green loading from the top to the bottom.
but the problem is , when playing dota 2 , the light still same like my profile,
not changing by gamedog.
the configuration is ok

Sorry for the late response. Please make sure the path to your CS:GO Folder is set correctly under Settings. Are these correct? If yes, please contact me via Steam as we might need try a few things.

For everyone else:
Here is a new Pre-Release Version 2.5 which fixes a couple of things.

I was trying Dota2 quiet a bit with 2.4 and couldn't really find any issues at least when I used the "Test Hero" mode. If you have any issues with Dota with 2.5 please make sure to find a way to reproduce it easily as I'm not a Dota gamer myself. Thanks!

Fixed things:
- Dota Menu screen shows Menu Color (ONLY after having a dota game launched at least once!)
- Naga Backlight for the side is flashing now ( @lokasenna96 )
- Update to Dotnet 4.5.2 (Should be quiet common)
- Update to latest Colore Library (fixes Grid issues for Blade, Blade Stealth, possible Ornata and others...). That also means that "Z" is now "Z" on german Keyboard for example. This however can lead to some sideeffects like the Startupanimation is also switching Z and Y on german Keyboard. I had to do many changes for that so I hope everything works (it's also why I don't release it right now).

Known issues:
- Possible deadlock in some rare cases on startup causing it to not responding anymore. I'll work on this until the final release.

Synapse shows no apps and doesn't display the ON/OFF Switch for Chroma Apps?

After starting GameDog make sure a config file is being created under [YOUR DOTA PATH]\\game\\dota\\cfg\\gamestate_integration called gamestate_integration_gamedog.cfg

Import and Export of Assignments to share with Friends!
With the Export and Import Buttons in the Assignments view you can get a JSON (Text) representation of your Assignments you can save as Textfile if you want to switch between profiles. Just click on Export and then click on "ok" to make GameDog copy everything into your clipboard. Now you can store this in your own Textfile for later use and just copy and paste it into the Box that appears when you click on "Import".

Antivirus / Firewall Check: done
I can access http://localhost:32092/dota2_game_event -> it show me DONE
configuration on dota 2 folder and CS Go folder too , the file is already created
dota2 -> play with bots , in game , the profile not changing
cs go -> play with bots too , and the profile still my own profile

now i will restart my computer to give a try
