The HDK turns on with the PC when I use it with the USB. However it is not bright enough. Is there a way to have the HDK working at 100% and sync with my PC?

To get the max brightness you will need to use the Molex power connector or Mains power cable that are provided.
Since Synapse 3 is in beta they are only adding support for a few chomra devices until full release,

So your saying it possible a Synapse 3 Beta Issue, since my other Razer Chroma gear is fine?

Dont know.. It might be.. I have seen other with same problems as.. But like i said.. Its a beta, so it might be??

Or maybe just a built in concept. I mean, who wants no RGB? That is like the beating heart of MODERN systems, but of course I see why, because your friends might see it and be like, "WOW, where did you get this?" And then you have to explain your obsession to them. And then they send you to the therapist.
Chroma is Love, Chroma is Life!
This is awesome, to bad it is not available in my country yet :frown_:

Dont be sorry.. It really is better to wait until synapse 3 is not a beta any more and supports more chroma device.
its really not worth the money on til then..

Yeah I suppose that is true. Still though, Most of the hardware I would like to purchase I cannot due to the fact that it is not available in my country.

Do you think Synapse 3 and the HDK kit will ever have any "smart" features?
- Lighting up to music
- GPU or CPU temp
- Light up to what colors are on your monitor (That'd be the best)
That's cool but rip money 😨

still waiting on razer case fans ....
still no reason why they went with individual adressed leds over a 20 pin connector that is made to break ... cost cant be a factor .. cause i can make the same with a 5m strip and ws2811 or ws2812b led strip and a 5$ arduino ( including software control ) only reason why they did it, is to make you buy another set if you need more than 4 strips ... rllly ? every other manufacturer can make it with those ic controlled leds ( longer strips ) the comfort to make them longer if you need . and for cheaper ...
I am using it externally for additional lighting behind my monitor, and it's pretty inconvenient that they don't turn off when the computer is off. Aside from unplugging it from the AC power plug and reducing the brightness by about 10%, is there a way to make sure that it turns off when my computer is off?
Is it possible to use this as bias lighting that changes with whats on screen?
What a bummer, got a few Chroma items and wanted to get this for Overwatch/etc.
i just ordered mine via zsilver ( not gonna pay for the bad implementation of led strips .. and i mean the way they get controlled and powered ) .. but i wil try andsee what i can mod with it 😛 maybe its possible to adress 16 x a 3pack of leds ? i got a strip that has 1 ic for a 3led 4cm piece that would give the option to light a case with 1 strip and use the other 3 ports for other stuff
... we will see

got my set .. directly inspected the LED strips ... and yea 20 pin connector for a special strip with 16 data lines for each led, propably 2 power lines and 2 gnd lines ( or 2 dummy lines and only 1 power and gnd )
why the heck choose that way ? no idea ... daisychaining the LED controllers would have worked ...( like any other company does ... ) extending the strip on your own ? only if someone manage to find 3rdparty strips with 16 data lines and gnd and vcc.. extending with arduino ? ( my old idea) .. im to bad at this neopixel what ever stuff 😃 .. if someone manages to make an arduino listen, on 16 data inputs from 16 data lines, and then convert the signal, to 1 output data line for the normal strips you can buy.. it might work ?! with some diy wiring and stuff ... unless razer admits, that they have done Shit .. and releases a firmware update, that removes the 1 led max for 1 data line, and makes it modular ( that you can say i have 16 leds on this 1 data line, and i want the code to go to those 16 leds .. ) then it mit work with other strips.. ( should be possible to do that .. maybe someone can manage to hack a hdk .. )

Before shutting off my machine I went into the synapse software and shutoff the brightness setting then shut off my computer and this seemed to do the trick for me! I have mine connected through usb and mains power with outlet adapter! Hope this helps!!!!
So can you cut and shorten the length of the strips by any chance?

yes you can but you cant extend them if you did a mistake, like normal adressable strips ( via those special connectors )

In case anybody didn't notice, the last zVault update dropped the price of these from 90k to 75k zSilver. Just ordered mine.👍
Is there no way to use multiple chroma HDK in synapse 3?
You prefer Razer Hardware Development Kit or Phillips Hue ?
Any update on when Synapse 3 will be out of beta? I'm assuming the HDK will sync with older chroma products (Firefly, Blackwidow) at some point in the future? Also, are there plans to make it compatible with Chroma Apps like the Overwatch integration?

I'm considering purchasing , but need assurance that these issues will be resolved soon... Otherwise I will just buy some cheap LEDs. Thanks!

Firefly is already supported on Synapse 3. Quite a few Blackwidow versions have been ported as well. Check the device list to check if your specific keyboard model is supported or not.

Chroma apps would work exactly the same regardless of the supported Synapse version because it doesn't have much relation to Synapse at all. The game (like Overwatch) itself takes over the lighting.

Will Blackwidow X Te be supported by Synapse 3 in the future? Since I saw BWX listed on the list. Or is there any mechanic(parts) difference between old BWX with recently released three colors options one?
Good to know that the Firefly is supported... but a shame about the Blackwidow TE. It seems a bit silly to use Synapse 2 and 3 simultaneously, but I guess they will eventually add more legacy products to Synapse 3?
