Every time I start cortex it asks for admin permissions

So every time I turn on my computer and attempt to start cortex it asks to make changes to my computer, I have no idea why I click allow every time and I can't figure out why it keeps asking

It requires such privileges for boosting (closing other applications and some windows services).
If you have administrator privilege on your windows account - right click on the Cortex shortcut - Properties, go to Advanced and then check Run as Administrator checkbox - apply settings.

I can't seem to find what you're talking about, I right clicked pressed properties and I see numerous things that say advanced none of which have a admin permission checkbox.

There are 2 ways of turning this on. If you're on shortcut, then click "Advanded" button. If you're on EXE file go to Compatibility tab: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AG9KjnNH27w/V0c0WVvmplI/AAAAAAAAC7s/5cwWR6_4TC48Ly9NgCgbu-y7zXC_DI3dQCLcB/s1600/compatibility-run-as-administrator.png

It shouldn't. There's another "workaround" for this - disable UAC.

I looked at it and it said disabling it is a terrible idea. It doesn't matter anymore, I'm just confused because when I first downloaded cortex it never did it it only started happening after about a week of having it.

Agree, but only if you don't have knowledge about computers, and click everything "next, next" like a maniac.

You can also try to uninstall cortex app, and use a CCleaner to cleanup windows registry, then install it again. It's not normal, that it requires some admin permission.

Yeah so I've tried it, I've tried everything and it still does it. This is what I see each time I try and start it, maybe this will help some

Your main windows account has user privilege or administrator privilege?
You can also try this (it's not disabling UAC, it's changing it's behaviour): https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/112621-change-uac-prompt-behavior-administrators-windows.html
