new taxes of silver redemtion of a razer product

hello guys .... normally when i redeem a product cost above 100 usd with silver , i get free shipping and no additional taxes. but now i tried to redeem the black shark headset the added for me 10usd of shipping fees and almost 20 usd tax for buying the product with silver redemption. why all of that???!!!

Hi @Seyfeddinereko, Discount vouchers issued from 1 March 2021 can only be applied to shopping carts with a value of at least USD50 (excluding shipping and tax charges). Shipping, tax and handling charges by Razer.com will apply. Existing free shipping promotions will be removed from your shopping cart once the voucher code is successfully applied. As for the tax for the redemption of Razer Silver, it will be calculated upon the order once you have redeemed your Razer Silver Points. By "redeemed", that means after you make a purchase. But look at the bright side, at least that's all you have to pay for it if you use Razer Silver.

Are you talking about sales tax or is there an additional fee for silver redemptions?

I feel you bro !! The whole point of Redemption are GIFT to loyal Razer's customer so what is the point of GIFT if you're charging us like a normal purchase?? Honest and Clarity should be the whole business objectives we are not school kids Mr Razer !! There are no Tax implemented by any government on a GIFT item unless from Razer Gov. Don't Bullshit A Bullshitter !!

In RAZER insider, anyone can make a pointer and RAZER officials do take it to an account from anything which insiders or consumers do not like about the brand, products, services, and try work things out. Even I feel the RAZER zsilver redeem fee is ridiculous, but there aren't many gaming peripheral brands that give free items through coupon vouchers. Not like the way how RAZER does it. Your feedback is highly appreciated, if however you have a problem with taxes it should be feedback directed to your government, not to Razer. Imagine thinking Razer collects taxes for themselves, if you think that then you have no idea of how taxation works but im pretty sure if you really are in Malaysia you dont have taxes on Silver items. Correct me if im wrong, the last time I ordered something was 6 months ago so it might be different now. Also your use of the word "bullshit" was considered as a curse word, I am just letting you know. Voicing your opinion is fine, but please be civil about it. If you are mad or angry you can still display that without being vile. No one likes taxes, but this is some extra cost that Razer is collecting from you. If you are a tax payer you can get it refunded when you file your taxes, atleast this is the case where I am currently living. Might be different for you.

@jakw0lf I mailed them for about 7 to 8 times but i didn't find any solution for that. The payment has been deducted from my account and i haven't received my razor gold coins yet. Still the razor gold balance is nill.

Okay, to answer your question, I now know that you are only charged your typical taxes and a shipping charge. Shipping was 10 dollars for me. All on the up and up. No gotchya costs or anything. This post had me wondering lol.

Those are likely your country's taxes not a tax on razer silver. It is unfortunate, but they don't cover the taxes.

This is crazy, at the very least be transparent about additional costs you impose The shipping cost does not add up (way to high in general and why charge people for shipping of their GIFT) aswell as the tax is ridiculous. I will never use razer Gold again after this. Redeemed two items so far, and both times i am left to feel scammed

Ngl was extremely frustrating reading another similar thread and the amount of replies to OP talking about "oh hey this is normal tax, it's your government or country that gets it" etc despite the OP clarifying numerous times and even attaching a screenshot. This is a NEW charge they have decided to throw on. It is not a tax. It is a charge for redeeming silver. It IS collected by Razer. It is NOT deductable. It is not a government issue. Have redeemed plenty of times with Razer Silver before and this is first time this charge has been added. Very disappointed.

I am relatively sure that js your sales tax. Unless I am confusing the european system in a way that is incorrect.
