Blackwidow V4 X - a few keys are delayed and unresponsive

Hello there,

I have started to notice more and more that some of my keys on my keyboard are sometimes unresponsive or having input delay. For example when I was typing this text I had to press my “s” key many times(4-6times) until it got recognized. I having this issue with several keys like : S,R,M,N and Spacebar. I have tried to switch the USB ports, hard reset, reinstall drivers and also completely uninstall Razer Synapse. Nothing seems to work. I have got my keyboard one month ago. And I started doing this starting this month, with R being the first key starting to be unresponsive and other keys followed afterwards.

If there is someone who knows some tips to try to fix this issue, I would be very grateful. I have my keyboard under warranty so in the worst case I can (hopefully) get new one.

Hi!

Same problem with D and L

Hello, i have same problem with my K, looking for RMA

same problems here too. for a 210 sgd keyboard, wtf razer? i expect better than this. so disappointed…

Same issue.  Started with the D key, so I learned how to solder switches, opened the keyboard, replaced the switch with another that I never hit, and it worked for a bit.

Then a week later, the A key was acting up.  Did the same thing.  Now today, the Y key is having the same issues.

Getting tired of it.  Keyboard is less than 3 months old.  There is no firmware update option on Razer’s support site for this specific keyboard.  No options in Synapse to try to fix this.

Same issue. 3 month old keyboard and the “A” key just intermittently cuts out when held. That and the “e” and “s” keys frequently double up on me.

I’ve gone through the troubleshooting here as much as I can, since there’s no firmware update available for this keyboard. I guess I’ll be going through an RMA and asking for a refund. From what I’m seeing on these forums for various newer keyboards, and the complete lack of response from Razer support, I’ll be avoiding Razer altogether in the future.

Same here, I opened a support ticket, and waiting for their response.

Did anyone find a fix?

I stopped looking after my post, and ended up buying a new hot-swappable keyboard from another brand so I don’t have to deal with this stuff again.

On two separate instances I desoldered and swapped switches (which was time consuming and annoying), and that fixed that specific button issue.  But then slowly other buttons started having the same problem.  I suspect it’s either (1) a firmware issue that they haven’t fixed yet, (2) poor quality solder, or (3) poor quality switches.

Get a refund if you can.  Lack of a Razer response here after 2 months is a pretty good indication that they aren’t going to do anything to fix it.

I think it is a firmware issue, I exchanged the keyboard for a different brand
