Kraken Kitty Edition disconnecting and connecting issue

Hello, I am having problems with my Razer Kraken Kitty headset. I got them from the official site around Christmas 2019, and they worked perfectly. In the last 2-3 weeks they have started to randomly connect and disconnect.

1. I thought there was a problem in the cable, but I tried to check it by slightly bending the cable and seeing if there is a weak spot somewhere, but no luck, so I ruled the faulty cable out.

2. I have tested all of the USB ports on my computer, it seems that they work better on USB 2.0, but not really a big difference. I have updated all of the ports, check them many times, they seem to be working normaly for everything else except the headset.

3. I have updated the synapse app, works better with the new update, and I have deinstalled the new version and installed the old one ( 2.0 ), it was terrible, they were disconnecting constantly, while on the 3.0. they disconnect about one time in 10-15 minutes

4. I have been playing with the sound drivers, maunally changing them, worked better but still does the same thing, especially when there is alot of sounds ( in game sounds, talking with alot of people, etc. )

5. I have tested them on another computer, still the same problem, works better with the new Synapse, terrible with the old one

They are disconnecting in Synapse and in Device Drivers. They are pluged in directly in the computers USB port, both when Synapse is disabled and enabled. My computer is running on Windows 10, regularly updated. I have send a case to Razer Support, but still waiting for the response ( I understand that the whole situation complicates the process and I have alot of time in my warrant since they are relatively new, so I am okay with waiting for the repsonse )

Thanks in advance!

As much as I'm impressed that you found a solution, I dont really want to spend a further 30 bucks to try and fix a headset that should be able to work on it's own, I'd rather get my money back from Razer aha!

If you don't want to do that the only thing Razer is going to do is tell you to replace them. People have been having this issue for months and they've just been sending replacements out to people in warranty and shrugging/saying sorry but shell out for a new one to people who aren't lol.

Hi Chloe and everyone. I found the solution to my problem! Nothing to do with USB ports falling asleep as it is the only one that is disconnecting. I can’t believe Razer didn’t think of this- you would need to get a USB Power Hub to connect the device! Apparently the Kraken drains too much powder - so this hub will connect to your AC power supply as well as

thanks for this!

Actually, Razer told me to contact whoever made my PC, because we isolated the problem down to it being my PC and not the headset, so it wasnt a Razer issue. I fixed it by rolling back my system to before this happened, and it fixed it. Turns out it was actually Oculus Rift software messing with my USBs. I recommend people check out their software changes!
I had my headset in a USB hub and it was working fine for a while but recently it has started to disconnect and reconnect the hub may not be the answer. I put in a ticket with razer.
Same here, they are really new aswell. how tf can a big company like this fail so hard with such an expenssive item i mean cmon.
Razer never again, and i had it all mouse keyboard headset, everything, i will throw all of it in the trash as it is
I bought mine in June and just started having issues. So far, customer service has been responsive. I just wish I understood what made them start working again, because I haven't found a pattern to when they decide to work and when they don't. Like, a complete shutdown and restart doesn't work, but two days later they light up again, sometimes after an hour or two of the computer being on.

Unfortunately, i'm having the same issues with this. It gets annoying when it keeps disconnecting when i'm talking to people. Mine works better on USB 3.0. I doubt it's my USB port that's faulty as I've tried connecting it to other ports and connecting other devices to USB 3.0. Only my Kraken Kitty gets disconnected. Lmk if you find a solution to this. :slightly_sad:

The same exact problem is happening to me right now, I feel your pain. If you found any solution please tell me. ;-; ❤
I have the exact same issue as everyone here. Bought my headset this year in January. It's getting impossible to talk to people or play, disconnects happen every 10-20sec 😞 When I turn off Synapse, it's a bit better, but I still experience the disconnecting, just less often. I tried every possible USB slot I have, to no avail. I need some help, since I adore this headset so much. BTW the issues started recently(ish), around 2 months ago.
