I've been having a terrible experience with these headphones. They were working, if badly via the USB (vague sound, distant 3d effects, microphone quiet etc) They work fine when not using the USB dongle.
But now, after today's latest update to razer synapse, it completely died and was producing nothing but static across the USB dongle. When i plugged the headphones directly into the PC sound card they work fine. Also... finally i uninstalled Synapse entirely and low and behold the headphones work again crystal clear through the USB dongle. I'm now trying to do a completely fresh install of synapse again...
This is windows 10 with Synapse 3.3.1012.101219
Edit: btw, i have already checked for latest updates and there are none. This is a major breaking bug and needs to be fixed. I only bought these headphones a couple weeks ago and probably going to take back. shame because my last Razer headphones were good. last i buy unfortunately, once bitten twice shy etc...

mine still the same when theres a high sound like when somebody joins your dicord channel or leaves it starts cutting audio then you wait soem minutes and it goes but sometimes its get worse

This means that there may be third party software installed that is affecting your Razer Software to behave this way.
It's basically unserious.We here running different software but having the same problem.Synapse 3 shoudn't be affected by any other software.The only thing that may affect it is the default sound card drivers and the nvidia drivers.I can't uninstall them...

you know what i did? i reinstall all the Razer software did a clean install and it works now sometimes starts again but stops after like 5 secs so i guess it worked

It's the same no change at all.The problem is mechanical sounds like train moving it crackles then.Can you tell me what programs you have running at the backround.Im thinking the stock audio drivers mess up the things

Is there any resolution to this? I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago and first of all had massive sound card issues (on a brand new laptop AMD Ryzen) and had to rebuild the thing and selectively install audio drivers. However I still have this issue when using the USB soundcard - it's not as bad as it was before, and not as bad as it is in the video on this thread - but it's enough static to be annoying. Especially when I wanted to use these for mixing music too - the entire reason I went for these was for the high quality sound with adjustable EQ. Except, I can't adjust frequencies to get a flat EQ without Synapse, and with Synapse, all I can hear is artifacts :(
Is it even worth logging with Razer? If they are just going to tell me it's "3rd party apps"... I'm really considering returning these now. Which sucks big fat ones because I heart them visually so much and know that I can get good sound out of them without synapse, I am fully keen for this concept
For now no.They tell me too its 3 party apps the problem.Disable the THX spartial audio fixes the static to some degree.With one update they make it worse with other it's fixed the next one brake it....They will figure it out eventually.For now you can switch to TE-Chat for the main audio source there are no isues with it but the sound is flat .
Thanks for confirming, the Chat channel works on mine, however the volume is super low and I’ve found no way yet to fix it, so that’s not a workable option for me either. I has the buyers remorse lol

turn the knob on the thx controller all the way down and turn the volume up.
Now that I’ve had a proper listen, chat channel has this same fuzz too. I’ll just put the USB card back in the draw again lol
