Razer Basilisk Ultimate Wireless Stopped Working

My Razer Basilisk Ultimate the wireless stopped working after I charged it using the USB cord to 100%. When I unplug the USB cord from the Razer Basilisk Ultimate the mouse no longer works but after plugging the USB cord back in, it works. After unplugging the USB cord from the mouse, I checked the bottom of the mouse and the white light dot is on and the on/off switch is on the ON side. Also when I look at my Razer Synapse when the mouse is plugged it shows up but when I unplug it, the mouse goes away. I do have the Razer Synapse to the most recent version. I have tried resetting and turning on/off the mouse and it still does not work. Unfortunately my mouse is no longer under warranty and Razer is no longer able to assist. I am reaching out to the community if anyone can help?

From what I understand, you have problem with wireless not working on your Basilisk Ult? How is the wireless dongle connected to your PC? Directly into port on the motherboard? Or via extension cable or via Chroma Dock?

Correct! I have the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and the wireless dongle is connected to in the back of the PC in one of the USB port on the motherboard.

When connecting USB dongle, is it visible in windows device manager? If yes, try Pairing Utility: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4868/~/how-to-use-the-razer-mouse-pairing-utility try to pair dongle with your mouse again.

Hi, do you  have fix your issue?

coastautoMagenta375

I’m having the same issue after a firmware update. I think it bricked my USB dongle. Windows won’t recognize it whether plugged into the mouse dock or any USB port on the PC itself. Worked fine until trying to do the firmware update….

I am having a similar issues, where i can hear the Windows USB is connected chime, but it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting in a loop. I have ruled the computer out as this has happened on both my workstation and home pc. I tried to get it to connect long enough for the firmware updated to see it, but alas it disconnected, shortly after the updater seeing it.

So i just fixed this on mine after a few hours. I uninstalled Razer Synapse Beta, and downloaded and installed Razer Synapse 3 instead, i then connected mouse via cable, and went into the power setting, changed the standby mode to 15 mins instead of 5 and then put lower power mode down to 5% instead of 30% now works on wireless perfectly. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the thread guys. I bought mine from UAE when I was visiting and the model number is different but there’s no specific UAE/MENA Razer or support page. your tip helped me finally get the “successful pairing” message when it eluded me for so long, but my wireless is still not working.

Does this thing have a hard reset? I can’t find anything from razer about it, just a bunch of BS from youtube that doesn’t work.

Hi! I have the same problem with my Basilisk ultimate. The last thing I did is to install Synapse v4, repeated the steps that @ash5467 described but the mouse is still working only via the USB cable. I downloaded the pairing utility, followed the steps and only receive “Pairing failed” message.

Other thing that i spotted - when only the dongle is connected to the PC and open the Synapse>>Dashboard>>Devices the mouse is marked as “Device is switched off”, nevertheless the button of the mouse is switched on and the little white indicator at the bottom of the mouse is on.

Any other hints how to fix this issue?

Hello All
I had the exact same issue, the issue was fixed by performing two actions
1. downgrade the synapse from version 4 to version 3
2. update the Basilisk Ultimate firmware

First uninstall all razer apps you have

Restart the pc

Go to the following link to install the synapse 3 exe file

https://www.razer.com/au-en/synapse-3?srsltid=AfmBOordrFWiQCE2AvL9B7lf2f5baWwldLcuph85SSlOG0BcFJ9H3r0j

Run the exe file, you can also install other addons (cortex, axon)

do not upgrade to synapse 4 until the new update is provided
Go the the following link to install the Basilisk Ultimate latest firmware and implement the firmware to your mouse.

Restart the PC

I had to reply to say what a legend you are for saving me a ton of time and money trying to rectify my issue.

I really do appreciate this my friend, well done!!

This fixed it for me. I have the basilisk ultimate and in synapse 4 I changed the sleep timeout from 5 to 15 mins and the low power mode from 30% to 5% and I no longer have any issues with dongle connectivity.
