Hello community! I am happy to announce I joined the razer Blade family! I love the new blade 16 (4090) 2023!
i got a quick question. I do always a clean fresh install after purchasing a new notebook. I swapped the m2 ssd to bigger ones. normally Intel chipset and several drivers (Intel management, touchpad, Intel graphic card etc) are located at support/ download.
But for the blade 16 I can't find anything. I just went thru the windows 11 drivers update +Nvidia drivers, which worked super fine and quick. system runs also normal but I am curious if I miss something ?
Thx! best

I always clean install after buying a laptop so I can partition the storage, set my user folder name and password.
I recently bought a Razer Blade 16” RZ09-0483 and have done a clean install but drivers were also not available so I followed the steps below:
For this approach I used another laptop, but you could do the same with one laptop if you download the drivers to a second USB driver before going through the steps below.
2 - Install Windows 11 from the USB Drive > Stick the USB Drive > Press F12, Boot Tab > Set Boot from USB Drive to position #1 > Save and Reset > Go through Windows Installation > Select Install Now, Custom Installation if you with to delete all partitions > Proceed and wait for installation to finish > Mandatory reboot
When the computer restarts, remove the USB Drive
3 - Create your username and password For that it is necessary to bypass the mandatory Microsoft Sign In. When Windows shows the screen to select the language: > Press SHIFT+F10 to bring up the Command Prompt > Enter: OOBE\BYPASSNRO > Press enter and and Windows will reboot > This time, go through the setup as normal > Choose ‘I don’t have Internet’ option to be prompted enter your username and password > Complete the setup

I recommend creating a recovery stick from your original SSD by following the steps here. Once done, please run/install the recovery disk to the SSD you want to upgrade the laptop. Let me know how it went.

First off, I absolutely love your well-organized and detailed instructions. As someone with a slight case of ADHD and OCD, reading your post was “oddly satisfying” on every level. If this was on the Reddit thread “oddly satisfying,” I would have given it 10,000 awards! 😄
Anyway, the only issue I run into is that when I do factory resets or Windows updates, I tend to lose my Blade.icm system color file that comes with the Razer laptop. Additionally, Windows updates always end up removing a specific THX Audio file or driver from my laptop. On the out-of-the-box Razer OS, if you go to the sound settings, the name of the sound device is something like “REALTEK THX AUDIO CODEC.” However, after any Windows update, the sound settings just show “REALTEK Audio” without the THX AUDIO Codec label.
I’m not sure if I’m actually missing something unique and worth having for my Razer, or if I’m just going around in circles because Windows is altering the name or shifting the format in which the audio device reads (And yes I download the Windows Store THX Audio App each time - but I’m not sure if that should be in addition to something I’m missing). Sorry for rambling, but if you have any intel, help, or download links for me, please let me know! I went down the rabbit hole one night trying to find an answer/fix myself and ended up with a notepad of what might be useful info to cut down on any legwork that might be needed. Also, all that “useful” info could be completely in the wrong direction, which is why I couldn’t solve my own issue! 😅
I hope this helps! If you need any further assistance or have any questions, feel free to ask. 😊
I bought a gaming laptop thinking I would be gaming most of the time- with my brain I just end up tweaking and trying to perfect/fine tune OS settings and speeds lmao --- humans are weird!
