Razer devices constantly disconnecting and reconnecting
This is not a USB or motherboard problem. It happens to my razer keyboard and mouse at the same time. My Chroma lighting on my keyboard will revert to default color design when it disconnects, and then back to my preferred chroma settings when it reconnects. It disconnects and reconnects every couple of seconds until I reboot. Even if I plug my keyboard and mouse into different pots, the problem persists. I've tried plugging my mouse and keyboard into USB ports that I know don't have a problem, because I have other devices plugged into them that stay connected all the time. However, the problem persists no matter which USB ports I use.
My mouse experiences the exact same problem at the same time, which makes it nearly impossible to use, because when it disconnects, I obviously have no input. It reconnects for a second or 2, but then immediately disconnects again.
I have tried to hard-close the synapse software while it's doing this, but it gets stuck. Even if I close the software when its doing this, it continues doing it until I reboot.
I have my synapse drivers up to date. I downloaded and installed the new Viper Ultimate firmware. Everything is up to date.
Currently using Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard, and Viper Ultimate Wireless mouse.
(IMPORTANT) The only way I can avoid this problem is to uninstall synapse completely, rendering most of the features obsolete. I want Razer to be aware of this, because these products are expensive, and most of the features of the products are built into a software bundle that does not work for me. There are other threads on this forum about this exact same problem, that were left open with no resolution from 2021. Razer must be aware of this, if they aren't, I will continue posting about it until they are.
No never needed one normally found problem. Before I used one. But did help a few cases detect low voltage. Mostly firmware or adjustments to lift off distance fixed problem. That or low mouse battery.
I am wondering if a USB analyzer gave more insights. Has anyone tried such a software before?
The windows error log. Also any bios settings for usb ? I'm wondering if it's the mouse or hub disconnecting. Did you get support case number?
It happens with an arbitrary USB hub including a cheap UGreean on-powered or with Razor’s Thundorbolt 4 Dock which is powered. Which Windows logs do you mean? BIOS, firmware, Synapse 3, Windoes Updates, Intel, Nvidia - everything is the latest.
If the problem happens with hub only I wonder about voltage on hub. Does the brand of hub matter, can you attach power plug. Is it only when hub attach to razer laptop.
That just give me more questions does windows log any errors. What is firmware and bios version. Hopefully reported to support with case #.
The issue still persists here as well. However in my case it is noticeable only if mouse and keyboard are connected to Blade laptop through an USB hub:
I had no issues with Razer until I had to replace my wired kitty headset with the wireless one. That’s when the disconnecting issues started. I went through back and fourth with support for almost 6 months before they sent me a replacement. I asked if I could upgrade to a wired set at the time, which they were unable to do for me.
The disconnecting would happen and then it would just get stuck in pairing, I would have to exit my game to reconnect my headset. That was super annoying in games like COD! Then when that headset would reconnect, I had the loudest static screaming in my ear, or into my teammates ear. It seems to only get this issue when I play COD, or if synapse is installed.
They sent me a replacement wireless headset and it is still doing the disconnecting. Luckily, this one is no longer making the loud noise when they do reconnect, however I rarely use them anymore due to the stress my old headset caused me.
Now my wireless viper mouse is doing the same disconnect and reconnect thing every two seconds. I think this is worse while gaming than my headset going out and having to close the game to fix it. Now, Even restarting my computer won’t fix it immediately. It needs to be off overnight now when it happens.
After what Razer put me through trying to replace my garbage headset, I am at the point where I would rather but a new device from another company than to deal with their ‘customer service’ again. It’s sad too because I was so excited to get all of the matching quartz razer gear for my PC.
The only other option I know about is resetting software and hardware in app or with pressing specific keys. For the correct key check support site. Beside that only windows errors or damaged hard drive files.
Hi guys,
I have a Razer Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed and the keyboard keep disconnecting after 3-4 seconds when i am playing Fortnite. Is there any way around this? FYI my USB dongle is plugged directly to the PC.
I've downloaded the latest firmware and even updated the drivers individually from Razer's website. I've also installed and uninstalled Razer Synapse 3.0 a few times but the issue still persists.
Please let me know how can i solve this issue.
Thank you.
Firmware updated adjust lift off settings. Anything in windows logs. Scan windows for virus and error.
I have Razer Basilisk RZ01-0233 Gaming Mouse
For the last week I’m having a serious freezing issue only while playing CS2. With Synapse open or closed, it freezes for 1-2 seconds twice or three times during a round and it is frustrating. I tried many ways to solve the issue watching many Youtube videos etc, but no solution. Synapse is the latest version.
Sometimes the freeze is permanent and I have to disconnect and reconnect USB cable to make it work again, during the game...
Well if really a driver problem you need to report driver version to support and the problem that happening. See when next driver comes out.
I only really know of doing factory reset in synapse or scan hard drive for errors with sfc or dism commands then reboot unless windows has error message.
I tried dism to fix the problem and it didn’t do anything. sfc I doubt will fix the problem. It’s a driver problem.

Did you check lift off distance. Because if you lift it up past that point it stop working. Should be near custom mouse pad setup.
I’ve been gaming on the same mousepad. The mouse is weird and the connection is lost via USB. I have no idea how it won’t come back. It happened recently only. It never happened when I first got the mouse.

For mice I normally check firmware, adjust lift off distance and setup custom mouse pad. I find this can help specifically the lift off distance is low increasing will help. A few times motherboards or laptop bios updates helped.
Just checked the firmware and it’s updated already. The mousepad I have not changed at all since I bought the mouse and gamed with it. The bios is updated on the XPS desktoip I have the mouse connected up to.

I haver a Deathadder V3 wired mouse. The disconnecting started 2 or 3 weeks ago at bootup but I didn’t notice the suspend mode being a problem until 2 weeks ago. I love the mouse for gaming but this is really annoying. I tried the updated Synapse 3.0 and it did nothing.
A few of these post almost sound like bad soldiering joints or something got bent. I not had many USB connectors fail myself from razer. But I try on a few different USB connectors and setup warranty claims so they can look into it. Normally you should see some kind of windows error message being logged helping prove the problem. For the firmware updating problem I only see virus scanning software Block it from work or a windows feature not installed. If at all possible try different computer or boot into safe mode then try installing firmware again.. hopefully this helps.
I have the same problem. But it's not the software, it's the cheap USB connector. I have a Razer Base Station V2 Chroma and whenever I wiggle the USB connection very slightly I have reconnects. I have the same thing with my Huntsmann V2 keyboard. The USB plugs of the Razer devices are very very cheap!
I am having this same issue. I do not have razer synapse installed and never have on this pc i just run the mouse as is with the 2.4 dongle. my mouse is a basilisk ultimate and all of a sudden one day it just acted like the battery was dead and when i put it on the wireless charger it blinks at me like its charging but in whatever generic color it was in prior to, not the battery charging indicator colors. when i go to use it it will work or a split second, and then disconnect and it repeats this on and on. i really love my basilisk and am very upset that it is doing this as this is my main gaming mouse. If anyone in this thread could steer me in a good direction on how to fix this issue please reach out
I would also like to include with my last comment that when i try to update the firmware with the firmware updater it updates fully to 100% and then repeats the process over and over again from 0%-100%. I do not know whats going on here, or even if its actually updating.

Well very sad but also good to know I'm not the only one with this problem.
Just got it recently. While playing games my sound would just randomly dissappear for 2 to 3 seconds with long interval. The longer I play the more frequent the sound los would appear to the moment where there is no sound at all just the annoying scratch/plop sound of the headset reconnecting.
Plz Razer fix your stuff
I almost windows if asking windows would help better with at problem. But what software is blocking it. Does it just Start working after a few minute?
