Razer Nari Ultimate - corrupt dongle due to software updates

Recent updates to Razer Synapse has bricked the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle of almost every Razer Nari Ultimate headset. I’ve been using the headset for almost 3 years now and the dongle suddenly gave up working one fine day. I am seeing on this forum that multiple Razer Nari Ultimate users have been facing the same issue very recently.

The issue:

The dongle does not get detected by the PC nor does it connect with the headset. It very rarely gets detected but immediately disconnects as soon as I try to play any sound from the PC.

The headset itself works fine when it is connected via the 3.5mm jack. So this is most definitely a software issue that partially bricked the dongle from connecting/updating firmware. Using the 3.5mm jack cable is really infuriating as it defeats the whole point of buying a wireless headset. The headset also doesn’t get recognised on Synapse, therefore none of the features(such as Haptics, Game/Voice audio control, Mute button) work even though they are right there and were working fine just a few days back!

Things I’ve tried(but none of them solved the problem):
- Use Razer Nari Ultimate Dongle recovery tool; The dongle doesn’t get detected on the app most of the time. Very rarely connects but the app then hangs on clicking ‘Recover’.
- Use Razer Nari Ultimate pairing utility; The dongle doesn’t get detected on the app most of the time. When it connects, it tries to update the dongle firmware version to ‘106’ but hangs after reaching 100%.
- Reinstall and rollback to older version of Razer Synapse; no change.
- Reset Windows Audio drivers; no change.

Razer boycott, gotcha. All you had to do was offer a replacement dongle. Enjoy no more of my monies.

Yep, completely the same problem here, haply i get my money back from the selling store cause it is still under warranty.

Overall its a shame the funked up dongle makes a good headphone useless

What a shame!

Razer exit!

I am also having the same problem, however I am not sure if it is a software issue (at least for mine) I don’t remember doing any updates but one day my headset just cut out and would pair anymore. This has been going on for 3 months. I saw a guy on YouTube take the dongle apart and heat it up and it apparently fixes the issue for some?
