Razer Synapse sending low chroma framerates to my devices

I am playing Terraria, which is a new Chroma App following the game's update to 1.4 that changes your gear's colors to match your biome or situation. My problem is that I'm only seeing the lighting change about 2.5 times per second, which makes it unpleasant to watch. How do I speed up my Chroma apps performance?
