Synapse Error - rsy3_audioappstreamswrapper.dll

Hello,



It seems I'm running into an issue with the listed .dll file.



I've tried a number of fixes online, including reinstalling Synapse as well as many of the .Net frameworks.



Wondering if anyone has a fix for this.

Have you tried this post? Seems related. You may even want to just start at step 10 - 13 (from Add/Remove Programs) to begin with as it may fix your issue. If not, start at the top.

I have this error too tried many many ‘fixes’.

I even removed synapse and  tried to reinstalled now it wont reinstall because of the same error:

For those who dont know how synapse get working again. Install an older x86 virtual c++ Framework in the Internet. And before you do this deinstall the new x86 virtual c++ Framework, because it make big Problems and dont work anymore. This method should works.

Just go to your installed applications, I am on Windows 11, find razer synapse and right click the application. You should see a modify option. Clicking that will pull the razer application manager where you will see synapse again. Click on it and select the “repair” option and that will fix any problems you have.

Steps I Have Taken to Resolve the Issue:

  1. Updated Windows and .NET Framework:

    • I have installed all available updates, including the latest cumulative update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 on Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5042099), as shown in the attached image.

  2. Reinstalled Audio Drivers:

    • Completely uninstalled all audio drivers from my system and then reinstalled the original driver provided by the manufacturer. Despite this, the error persists.

  3. Checked for the Missing DLL:

    • Searched my entire system using the command dir /s /p RSy3_AudioAppStreamsWrapper.dll, but the file was not found.

  4. Reinstalled the Application:

    • Uninstalled the affected application, restarted my computer, and reinstalled it from the official source. The error continues to appear after reinstallation.

  5. Ran System File Checker (SFC):

    • Used the sfc /scannow command to check for and repair any corrupted system files. The scan completed successfully, but the issue with the DLL remains unresolved.

  6. Used DISM Tool:

    • Ran the DISM tool with the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair the Windows image. The process completed, but the problem with the DLL persists.

  7. Restored the System:

    • Performed a System Restore to a previous point when everything was working fine. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue either.

  8. Attempted Manual Registration:

    • After acquiring a copy of RSy3_AudioAppStreamsWrapper.dll, I placed it in the C:\Windows\System32\ directory and attempted to register it using the regsvr32 command. However, this did not resolve the issue.
