So here's what I did.
Go to ‘Device Manager’ on windows.
Find ‘Human Interface Devices’
Find IN SPECIFIC ‘HID-compliant game controller’
Right click the ‘HID-Compliant Game Controller’
And click disable.
Today, I just got the keyboard, and i had the same problem trying to play Skyrim.
Those steps above, did the job for me. If it repeats after you shut down the computer or something, then just repeat this process. I hope this helps!
The better way to stop it is to go to device manager and scroll down to where it says (xbox 360 controller) and disable it. if you disable the HID-Compliant Game Controller things like joysticks stop working.
Disable “Xbox 360 controller For Windows” in Device manager, worked.
I probably tried all of that, but what seemed to fix it for me was to bind keys to the virtual xbox controller and then unbind them again.
To me, it looks like at least my copy of synapse hadn’t fully initialised all of its variables when it was first installed.
Well, having restarted my PC, this morning, it would appear that my solution only lasts for the duration of the session, so would probably be best called a workaround. It seems that controller mode is being partially activated when the profile/synapse loads, regardless of being in Typing Mode.
To flesh my workaround out, I hit the two BIND buttons in the Quick Remapping area and then selected Custom Profile. After stopping the downward scrolling I was getting in the MSFS 2020 World Map, with the “W” key, I reversed the Bindings and returned to typing mode.
I might get bored of this method and just disable the xbox controller as suggested above, unless of course, Razer fix the issue. :)
They dont care at all. Its a stupid gimmick on a very expensive keyboard Huntsman v2 analog … I atleast want my games to run without issues. STOP CREATING VIRTUAL CONTROLLERS.
